You screwed up @ 1:26, you said window instead of windah. 😁 Just messin' with you, I think this video is exactly what I need, thank you very much for taking the time to record and post it.

This is the absolute BEST video I have found on adding a window to a metal building. And the fact that it has almost a foot of a shelf or casing inside is exactly what I want to do with the window I want to add. It will be my kitchen window looking out into the yard and I wanted to be able to place a few small herbs in pots in that window so they will get some sun. This is perfect! I subscribed to your channel and hope to see more of these types of things. Thank you for your detailed video. Since I haven't started the framing on the walls yet, this is the perfect video to show me what to do when I start the framing. Have a good day Sir.

This approach is exactly what I need to do in my barn. Thanks for taking the time to post. A question: I note that the center of your window aligns with one of the exterior metal ribs. Did you plan for this, and does it matter?

Great video. I'm curious about how you insulated your barn. We are about to do the same to our metal garage. I've been reading that metal buildings "sweat" and am nervous about mold and mildew growth in the walls.

Keith, how thick is the material that the box is made of? Is it 3/4 inch plywood?

Very very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to video your installation. Beautiful job. Question: the water tightness is acheived by the silicon between the window flange and the exterior metal? The top drip edge helps re water as well. The J trim is basically for looks. You mentioned an exterior pvc trim kit. Did that come with the window? The window is a Lowes product I think. Thanks again from North Carolina.

You missed the most important part of water proofing this window.I’m so glad I don’t live anywhere near with this accent it almost put me to sleep.
