Overall, really great value for money. Headunit is pretty much an andriod tablet, but I primarily just use the Apple Carplay feature. Only 2 coins are: Sometimes when you are displaying Google Maps with the Apple Carplay, it can go sort of fuzzy but if you toggle in and out of it, it goes back to normal. And the bluetooth connection can sometimes have issues with connecting, so I would forget the device and reconnect. So found it was more consistent to just plug in with a cable.

i have an question? once head unit has been fitted, how would u remove the head work to carry work out on other units

The head unit is secured with plastic tabs. To remove it, apply pressure from one side to compress the tabs slightly. Then it can be pulled out

Do you have the link of the adapter with the impedance converters? I have a similar Android radio, but I can't have sound in the rear speakers.

Hi mate - Nice vid. I have just installer another Android screen. My Audi A3 (2012) already had a Audi UHV Bluetooth connection with an excellent microphone for speaking. Now after indtaling the new Android screen, I can’t ude the factory integrated microphone in the car. Is it possible to Connect the integrated mic and disconnect the shitty liv in the new screen?

Hi, thanks for watching! Unsure as I don’t know what head unit you installed. But on most of the android head units. You can install an external microphone which is better quality. Just be sure to toggle from front mic to external mic in the head unit setting if it doesn’t automatically toggle.

The Bose audio system adapter is the high to low impedance converter from the description. Shown at 0:57. It is installed at 2:00

I couldn’t find an easy way to check. So I just installed the head unit. In my case the rear speakers didn’t work after installing the new head unit. So I assumed I had the Bose system and ordered the high to low impedance converter. And voila the rear speakers now worked again after. Hope this helps

@@jdmimportsaus Do you possibly know how to connect high to low converter to the harness I already have because that harness with integrated high to low converter is a bit pricey. Btw I watched some other video and people use that converter with non bose too.

If everything is connected and you installed the high to low impedance converter. Then your model might not have a rear amp. In which case if you remove the impedance converter, the rear speakers should work

Hi! Can’t say for sure, from memory my model didn’t have parking sensor information. But if it was an option might be in “Factory Settings”. All these EKIY units have default passcode of 3368

Only the cables connected in the video needed to be connected for this model Audi A3. The adapter that connects to the android head unit is fairly generic and has lot of additional cables

I know how to remove the OEM one. I am referring to the aftermarket one. Your aftermarket doesn’t have the little slots for the keys.

Aftermarket one is locked in with plastic tabs. To remove I pushed to one side and pulled simultaneously

The head unit is no longer available from the Ali Express supplier I purchased from. I’m not able to recommend any other suppliers as I haven’t personally used them. If purchasing from Ali express be sure to read through the reviews
