In this gripping instalment I upgrade the horn to a very loud air horn, I change the oils, and I install an electrical accessory socket and a USB charger.

It’s always a relief to find the previous electrical modifications haven’t tried to burned the bike to the ground. Personally, I can hardly wait to get back up to FNQ after the wet .

@@abitofadetour7315 Hi, an update from me I just got YSS suspension same as you and man what a different a bike has become ! i'd like to know your current setting if you could share? My current setting is Front - Standard preload, 10 clicks compression clockwise, 7 clicks rebound clockwise (from all the way down anti-clockwise) Rear / +12 clicks rebound clockwise Bike feels cushy enough but would like to know yours. Cheers.

A magnificent horn sure to alert any man or beast of your presents. A fair amount of wiring and spannering for the final money shot. In hindsight maybe a Banjo or a whistle to Hang around your neck would have been simpler. Pure genius at work. Nice one
@abitofadetour73155 ай бұрын
If you’ve a spare banjo lying around I’d certainly give it a go. The sound of a banjo scares away most things.

@@abitofadetour7315 Every man needs a magnificent horn, banjos however, may not be a sound you would want to be using as an alert in some of the more 'rural' areas of Tasmania may I suggest 😬😕

Looking forward to seeing your next adventure. I'm so glad 493 attempt was the magic number for your horn placement. Now I know where to come if I need any electric work done to my bike.

Love the commentary, and reviews of rooms etc, always makes me laugh. Do you have a link for the air horn?. I have done Tassie in the 4wd, but we are itching to do it on the bikes. Enjoy.

Thanks for all your videos. We have just finished a trip across and back. We are getting ready to another up to Karumba and back down via the middle then the coast. I have used a Go Pro 5 for the most recent trip. What is the best way to convert all the videos and then edit? and What would you recommend for our next trip one two or more cameras? Am a novice and look for advice from experts like you. PS I have a VFR 800X and one of the guys has also just bought one for the next trip great bikes
@abitofadetour73153 ай бұрын
Not sure about the expert bit. I would recommend any of the newer GoPros with good image stabilisation, I think from about 8 onwards it got very good. In terms of editing I use Davinci Resolve which you can use for free but it does have a steepish learning curve.

@@helenatyukodi5227 It’s a Steibl. I don’t know where it came from, it was on the VFR when I got it and I just fixed the installation.
