I would assume with dense foam seating you would feel a bit more vibration.

Hi, It's possible to connect this system to a sound bar home theater system like a Nakamichi Shockwafe Ultra 9.2 SSE?

Since am upgrading my theater I have question if you can answer . That is how is the base punch if I compare to a 12inch 400rms klipschs or svs subwoofer. I meant its coming from beneath but the power or the thrust compared to subs.
@Rawsawhd4 жыл бұрын
Ultimately it's a compliment to your subs by putting the "punch/rummble" literally right under you.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I have issues with my neighbor because the subwoofer bothers her too much (yeah sucky neighbor) and I won't build my garage HT for a couple more years. So I've decided to install bass shakers to get that tactile feel without having to crank my sub to the max. Hopefully it'll work and I won't be disappointed
@Rawsawhd4 жыл бұрын
I've had neighbors complain myself. Lol.. What I like is when its later in the evening, you can have it on a lower level but bump up the transducers. All and all for the low cost, you wont be dissatisfied.
@Hexspa4 жыл бұрын
I don't like bass from my neighbors either. This is despite that I have a subwoofer - which I never use. The fact that she doesn't want to hear your noise doesn't make her a sucky neighbor. A sucky neighbor, for you, would be someone who gets in your life without your consent - which is exactly what listening to someone else's bass is. But thank you for considering her even though I'm sure she'd be less than pleased that you're talking bad about her online. If you can't afford a house, you can't afford unrestrained bass - fair is fair.

@nathanmelia2456 You are the Definition of a "Sucky Neighbor". And likely, an Inconsiderate NARCISSIST. If the shoe were on the other foot... and your neighbor was blasting a n Apartment shaking sub at all hours of the day / night... I guarantee that you would be the first person to complain.

For HT, its a compliment to your system. If you have everything else, then go for it.

I have the Part express bass shakers just sitting in my basement. I have relatively new couches. My wife would kill me if I did anything to the new couches. So I go bass shaker-less. 😢😢
@Rawsawhd4 жыл бұрын
You wouldn't damage the couch. You're just removing the cloth and reattaching it. Depending on the construction of the couch, you might not even need to add the wood.

I screwed into the 2 center cross pieces, the the ends were screwed through the partical board frame of the couch. If you look closely you can see where it was. The way the couch was constructed it just worked out.

Cool video. These are the BST-1? How do you like them six months later? I'm thinking to install one to the bottom of my barstool. Do you think 50 watts is too much for this application? Perhaps mounting a bass transducer to a wooden stool is not a good idea. My purposes are for music and gaming. Thanks.
@Rawsawhd4 жыл бұрын
I'm still digging them. If you dial them in just right it creates a great illusion of bass. I may get 4 more for the back row...... I suppose you could install one on a stool but I fear the wire would become an issue if you're pulling the stool in and out.
@Hexspa4 жыл бұрын
@@Rawsawhd Ya, I was thinking how to mount it. Well, you obviously like them or you wouldn't buy more. I'm a little obsessed with the idea!

Hi . I’m using an old receiver to power my lone Aurasound Transducer. I’m using one of the front speaker outs to connect to the shaker. The only problem is I am noticing Spoken voices And other higher frequency’s triggering the shaking. This Denon receiver is a bit much for just powering a shaker so it does have features like an LFE circuit, zone two. It has an RCA subwoofer out and it has digital and optical ins. Is there something I could use to deliver just low frequencies to the base shaker preferably using only the receiver itself. If I have to add something I don’t want it to cost more than $30. I know I could buy $100 dedicated sub amp. But I get many advantages with a receiver
@@Rawsawhd That's what I was thinking of . I just don't know what to call it. I think it might be called a bass passthrough but I am not sure
@asyouwish95673 жыл бұрын
@@Rawsawhd Thanks for the suggestion. It looks great but the problem is transducers connect with speaker wires. But I'll keep this in mind. I have been wondering if I could feed the subwoofer rca port signal from my main receiver back into the old receiver. Maybe that would only give it low notes to work with.

Great video man! I love my bass shakers. I got mine running to a crown xls 1002. Question though. Did you here a difference or feel a difference after you hooked up the rca to xlr convertor box from rolls. I'm interested in getting one of them
@Rawsawhd4 жыл бұрын
I have the bass shakers connected to Dayton amp, which doesnt pass through the Rolls. One of the sub out on my Denon (there's 2) is split (on to the Dayton bass shaker amp), one goes to the Rolls then to the Behringer, then the duel 18" Dayton Reference. Its money well spent as it upped the signal to the correct voltage. This allowed me to not have the gain so high on the amp which was stressing it for not that much output. I had set to 2 O'clock position before, now its on 10-11 O'clock and has more punch/dynamic headroom (home equipment and pro equipment doesnt always match up)... Not sure I explained that correctly but hopefully you get the point.

Can you just take a signal from your normal speaker wire too these
@Rawsawhd3 жыл бұрын
No. You would get a "Y" splitter from your subout/LEF from receiver out to separate amplifier, then to the bass shaker. Parts Express sells some nice bundle packages.

Why didn't you turn the board over and have them completely hidden inside the couch? If you do that it would be best to bump them a few inches over to the ends of the couch so you avoid touching them when sitting down.
@Rawsawhd3 жыл бұрын
You wouldn't touch them sitting if I had done it the way you're suggesting... I really didn't give it to much thought. I have easy access to them and get the same effect.

Hi, I bought 3 80watt (50watt rms) bass shakers and connected them to a 250 watt amplifier! They vibrate very well. I wanted to know if there is a program to tell you when to intervene? at the moment they almost always vibrate, in bombing scenes they make themselves felt more! but I was wondering is it possible not to make them vibrate? Have them intervene only in explosions, frightening scenes, horror etc etc ... in gaming I know that there is a program called sim hub that you can choose when to make them intervene! but in the cinema? sorry my inglish
@Rawsawhd3 жыл бұрын
I don't know about a program. That being said they're meant only for the lowest octave of bass reinforcement, so on my amp I have the crossover set at 40hz (wish it went even lower) and have played around with level/volume adjustments until I felt it blended in best with my system. They shouldn't be constantly vibrating, just that kick in the ass when an explosion happens.... Personal preference of course...
