Installing CENTER CAPS on Steel Wheels!

Completing that JDM base model look by adding these plastic center caps to steel wheels, or steelies as they are sometimes called! They act as hub covers and should fit on steel wheels from many other manufacturers other than Toyota.

UPDATE: After three years, two caps have flown off. Oddly enough, it was both front wheels.

these look great, thanks for the recommendation, just ordered some for my new (to me) car. i don't like the look of hubcaps so glad these will make them look a bit nicer, my weekend project clean up is now to clean and repaint the steelies before these arrive next week :) also, saw someone on the amazon review recommended using a little black silicone sealant on 2 of the opposite lugnuts to help them stay on when you hit bumpy roads. anyways this will be so much cheaper than buying 4 alloy rims

There’s a notch to insert a pry tool/flathead. They pop right off!

Bought these for my 1993 Jeep Cherokee many , many moons ago. Got them at low cost trailer parts for about $7.00 bucks apiece back them. Don’t take a rubber hammer to put on, unless you are gonna lymph wrist them. They just snap on over the lug nuts. Probably cost a fortune now. And the little slot is for a screwdriver or tire tool to take them off.

They were $8 each. Lightly tapping them on with a mallet is just fine because of the snug fit for certain applications! They can be easily removed with a screwdriver without any damage

Just a thought, how about some trim rings to hide the ugly part? My friend has a Corolla and I was thinking of dressing the steel wheels up with center caps and trim rings, since she's already lost a wheel cover. I'd like to paint them silver but I doubt she'll go for that! Haha. Silver steelies over wheelcovers any day. Thanks for the video.
