I have watched all your drip irrigation system videos. They are the best series in this topic on KZbin. I will follow your instructions to set up a drip irrigation system in my garden. Thank you for the videos.

Jim, one tip to share with people that I learned the hard way. Make sure to check the pressure that the clock can handle. My incoming pressure was too high and made my clocks leak.

The pressure regulator can definitely go above the clock. Good advice.

If you update your affiliate links you can capture more sales. I clicked on a few on this video to buy them but they are no longer available. If they were I would have bought them. Love your content. Thanks for all the helpful advice.

Really good video series. I just installed a system in my backyard (with help) but now I think I can manage it myself and modify as I need to. This has helped my confidence in doing this. Much thanks.

Thank you for explaining drip irrigation. Could you explain why a pressure regulator is needed. How do you determine line spacing & emitter size? Also, I'm in a northern state, so what steps are needed to 'winterize' the system. Installing drip has been on my to-do list for a few years, but installation was a bit daunting. Thanks again for the detailed explanation.

Another great video, Jim. I have 2 Rain Cloud units, which is another model by the same manufacturer. I like the ease of being able to control them from inside by my computer, tablet, and phone. I am not so p,eased with the rest of my setup, though, i really need a couple more spigots as some of my beds are so from from the spigot that it only gets water to the first little bit and i still have to water manually every day. I dont know who to call to get more spigots installed.

Thank you for the video. It's helps me alot. Where can we find the four control valves and/or pressure regulator? I'm planning to do dripping irrigation for my vegetables and flowers this year and i would like to get as many parts as i can before spring. Thanks

What emitter would you suggest for a 4.5 foot tall Alberta Spruce, and approximately how long would you run the water? My soil is sand and loamy, no clay and the shrub was just planted. Thanks for any advice and knowledge you can share.

This looks great. Do you have any suggestions for a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi timer? Mine is behind my trash containers so I have to move everything if I need to pause it or change the times etc.

I am planning to put my drip irrigation this fall . My question is, what are the zones? I only have two spigot outside (front and back of the house) and I have an acre of land. Can I just connect all of my drip tubing to the distribution tubing on each spigot? What are the maximum length I can do for proper water distribution?

Hi, great videos, I watched the 3 part video series in gearing up for setting up a small irrigation system around our house. I did have a question though. If connecting a timer to a water spigot, I would basically have the spigot turned on all the time correct? I'm just a bit cautious about leaving the water on all the time, but yeah just wanted to confirm. Thanks for all the videos, great work and beautiful setup!

Hi Jim...Ive been watching your video's and thank you so much..Can you please write out a list of the parts and timers.I went to home depot and they have different timers and not sure if they're good. I've seen the starter kits for sell and maybe thats the way to go. But I would love to hear your thoughts. thank you

So it sounds like you can leave this type of drip irrigation in all year long, even in snow? Or is it something you need to disassemble, pull out and store in the shed through winter? Thanks I appreciate your videos!
@tjk10094 жыл бұрын
No need to remove tubing for winter. It is a good idea to open the ends so water will drain out. If you have a larger/longer system it may be a good idea to blowout the water using a shop vacuum or air compressor.
@paulsharkey65763 жыл бұрын
How long will you let that drip for those shrub sizes? One hour?

Also, Which video has the one with the electric timer? Like the old school sprinkler system? and the way this is Juli's husband...Jimmy thank you again for sharing your knowledge.

In the prior irrigation videos, you referred to the larger tubing (both distribution and drip varieties) as "17 mm". Here you seem to call the same products (both kinds) "1/2 inch". Which is correct (how Rainbird refers to it)? 17 mm works out closer to the ID of tubing which has a 3/4" OD.
