Finally biting the bullet for one of these. The 8" actually has a better processor too than the 9". Also it has Bluetooth 5 instead of 4. So it's better in every way besides screen size. I have a 2012 Mazda 3 with the Skyactiv 2.0L and 6 speed MANUAL and it's a hatchback babyyyyyy

For future reference if anyone wants to do this, avoid the PX30, it is worse than the 9"'s PX5, it is essentially an updated PX3. The PX5 is quite a bit better than the PX30, and the PX6 is alot better than both.
@jarrettisaac3 жыл бұрын
I have this set up already, also FYI, you don't need to install that ugly puffy external mic, the unit has one built in, which works better. Trust me. I also mounted the GPS right under the dashboard to hide it and the signal is the exact same. Just wanted to give you a tip!

First time watcher......good overall. I love to try and support new automotive KZbinrs but I don't understand why so many don't get even a small flexible tripod or mount. when opening boxes or showing manuals or installing parts it allows you to not cut that out. And then when your editing, if you are editing, I might think about cutting out some of the times you say the same thing 3 times in a row like with the dual USB adapter. And then 3rd, all the actual "doing" things is cut out. I'm not seeing any of the actual install. Just explanation then end result. Other than that I think your on the right track and I do like the way you explain things and you have a good KZbin voice. I'm less than a month into my first mazdaspeed 3 as well so look forward to your future content. Keep it up!! Edit: was only 8 min in for first comment. ......you keep cutting, in my opinion, all the stuff I wanted to see. Taking apart the console, actual hookup of the unit, adjusting and using the radio for the first time. When your running the wires for the GPS and mic and stuff I'd hoped you were going to show all that part. For an install video you didn't show anything being installed.
@ArdenAutomotive3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the feedback. It’s hard to install things and film at the same time. If I had someone there to film while I installed then it would have been better but I didn’t have that luxury. I tried to explain the best I could afterwards. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey guys I have a ga9463 in my Mazda 3. Yesterday my little sister was playing with the buttons and the system brought up recovery mode, however, the screen froze and I had to turn off the system. Now the system will not turn back on. If I disconnect my car battery and reconnect it do you think that will fix the issue? Also it still lights up around the buttons when I turn on my headlights so I know that it’s not the fuse

Can you show how you hooked up the dual USB port to the radio? I don't have a charger in the storage area, but do have a cigarette lighter that I can remove and install there. But unit only show 1 USB port on the back so was wondering if you used a splitter or what?

Hi Arden, How did you run the video input for your backup camera to your Eonon stereo unit? I plan to put this on my Mazda3. Thank you for the video!

There was 2 wires that you have to tap into your reverse lights then an input cable that will plug right in to the back of the radio!

When you installed the USB did you have to take apart the center console to connect the dongle and everything? Or was it really just pull the cigarette lighter out and put the USB adapter in? I'd assume to feed the USB from the stereo all the way down through that socket you'd have to remove the trim right?

i installed the same one and the product website says it works with bose systems but my problem is that: #1 the volume when its on 1 even with the eq down low its still too loud to have a conversation and vol1 on this is like vol 13 on the stock one so does this happen to you? #2 does the audio quality sound worse than normal and distorted to you including the bass? #3 does this aftermarket radio have alot of static all of the time to where "low volume" music just sounds terrible due to being drowned out by the static? i had this in for a few days until i just slapped the stock radio back in which sounds a million times better.
@ArdenAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
#1 I never had a volume issue. The volume seemed to work like stock for me. I also did not have the Bose system so that could be the difference #2 The quality was completely normal. When it got up to high volumes it was distorted but that could have been the bad stock speakers #3 I’ve heard a lot of people having problems with static but mine never did. Everything worked as it should. Not sure if it’s the difference of Bose and non Bose systems or not
