Install of the new Eonon GA9463B for the mazda 3 MPS(mazdaspeed 3) 2010 model

Hi all. Thanks for bobbing back for another episode.
Today we are fitting a Eonon GA9463B head unit.

Gota a question I just finish installing my eonon unit yesterday and I’m Having problems when I connect the CarPlay I get a lot of static feedback and high volume when it’s only at 1.

Hi Thanks for the video. How long do you guess it takes for the unit to turn on when the car has been off for a day? I had an eonon on my old bmw e46 and it would take about 2 mins to turn on from cold. Thanks!

Thats how mine went bud. Would work one day then no sound the other till it didn't come back on at all. Defo amp issue

What website did you get the headunit from? Just had my amp die and when you said you needed a new headunit I thought I can see where this is going. What's the sound quality like compared to the old bose headunit?

I've installed mine but have an original head unit cable working, it was the one on the left hand side of the original unit, I believe that you pointed it out in the video that you couldn't see where it went in the new harness. Did you ever figure out what it was for / if we needed to use it on this system or if it's just spare and can be tucked away

Hi there. Yes all 3 things coming off the original head unit have been hooked up. The main plug hooks up power,speakers and things. The other plug is for aux inputs around the car. And finally the last plug is for the aerial.. this setup is for the bose system. But it also can be connected for the non bose. As you will see in the eonon manual. Hope this helped?..

Just got the same eonon head unit and the 2 front bottom speakers aren't working. Do you think this is likely an issue with the head unit or the bose amp? Guess I should plug in the OEM unit to find out?

Plug the old unit in to find out first yes.. only take 5 minutes

It seems to be having some software issues. Mine was working fine up until a few weeks ago when Bluetooth started playing up. Now I. Getting random stuff going on. But will put it all in the next vid which is a follow up on how im finding the headunit. Thanks for watching the vid and commenting also.

Do you have the Bose subwoofer connected and working with this unit? I recently installed the 9463B into my MZ3 GTA and the subwoofer output is so so low as well as the sound quality and loudness just being terrible compared to the stock unit. Kinda wondering if I set something up incorrectly for it to be like this...

The stock sub is all connected to the stock wiring. So once its hooked up to the headunit, its the same. The bose sub in the mazda though is just piss poor anyway. And does not hold much punch at all. Hence why I hooked up another sub in the boot. But I have kept the original bose sub hooked up. And this has transformed the whole unit and the sound. Hope this helped..😁

And now I'm not 100% sure the stock unit hasn't been messed with before I bought this car a month ago, but it actually sounds really good and clear up until 55ish volume, all the while really shaking up the car and mirrors x) Meanwhile with the Eonon, sound even maxed out is nowhere near close in volume to stock, subwoofer is at like 30% volume in comparison, and the sound quality is way worse than stock... At my wit's end over here, gonna be contacting support and see if I messed something up during assembly. ps; was I supposed to use the 15A fuse attached or is that just an extra for the unit? Thanks for the response mate, and wicked mps you got there, wanted that one so bad but I commute a ton so I picked up a stacked af cd185 :)

@@Roby00231 thanks bud. The 15a fuse is a spare. There is also a bose and none bose setup that comes with the unit.. so look into that also..👍👍🙏
