Thank you God! I finally found an option that is well engineered to do my 96 SS. Awesome video. Thanks for posting. If you're in MN, I'm dropping my car off to you. Would love to do the LS swap too. I have a cammed 5.3 in my white 93 Caprice, but have yet to buy a transmission crossmemeber and still need an efi intake wiring harness and ECU. I was trying to do it on a budget, but all the things I mentioned are not cheap! Going to be checking out more videos on your channel to see if you can help me on that too.

Just some advice when I did mine I was scared to mess up the cutting so I use a utility knife and scratched back and forth to we’re it was easy to cut

Looks like a replacement HVAC switch panel, maybe that's why the dash looked like it was off before. Any thoughts on the detailSS kit vs the etchus? Looking into it for my 9c1

I know you said you use SEM medium gray for the grey part, what did you use to paint the Etchus face plate? Any prep to stick? Thanks man, you’re the guy that put me onto this. I’m clamped and ready for epoxy. Car is ready but two dash tabs missing and a salvage heater control with only one tab. The rest is ready, but setbacks suck.

I will say, when I used my air saw to cut the stock faceplate off, I was as nervous as a whore in church! Used a bastard file to finish the edges. For some reason I thought the faceplate went in from the back. All that detail work only to puss it up with epoxy. I really appreciate you man. Thanks for being so helpful.

What’s the biggest unit width wise that will fit? I measured from out side and I’m thinking roughly no more than 7inch unit would fit flush with trim kit and all correct?

Man bro no lie u kno those clips that holds tha dash n theres a holes that it holds it in try to Sharp it a lil so tga clips can snap on real easy cause i hated when u try to pull it out n then it breaks one of tha clip so try that n tell me does it comes off easier no lie bro it works that way real talk n then if u want to keep that bottom dash careful then put jb weld bondin for plastic on tha back of to use a small brush n it has to be in white n black to mix it up so u have to do it fast to brush all over it n not to put to much so when u get it right n let dry for two days trust me bro it really really works to keep that bottom dash hard n wont break at all

I think the reason the unit is tilted is you didnt put in the 1/4" spacer on the top hole behind the aluminum bracket. The spacer is a nut, as in a nut for a bolt. Confused me at first, because I was looking for a rectangular piece with a hole, but after watching the factory install video, it was confirmed. Some day I'd like a dashboard like K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider. Ha Ha!
