Nice job Mark, like you say the gloss black looks a bit wrong I think I’d have blown them over with a bit of satin black before fitting, but they will mellow down with time anyway.

Were they jacking point covers in the existing side skirts? The aftermarket side skirts mean no access to these now. Good luck trying to change a tyre at the roadside if so. Not a fan of the “cats whisker” look of those things stuck on the front sides. Must admit I did some naff things to my first car, time marches on but lads will be lads!

Having trouble sourcing new OEM S-Line skirts and front and rear bumper for my 2015-18 8x 3dr in LX7M Nano Grey along with black edition trim. It’s frustrating why a new car has very little aftermarket and OEM replacement parts😂 can get the SE models part no probs, will have to find a breaker close to me

I mostly used masking tape to hold the pieces in place before final fitment.

I used gaffa tape but I was young and trying anything to make the job easier it did kinda of work better you start getting rulers out and then it’s a half hour of is that straight to you or is it definitely 2mm out on that side 🤣🤣🤣the best days

Hi Mark , its nice of you to help others, And I don't want to be a party pooper , but he must tell the insurance company of the changers, (premium will go up) I had it once where I added side skirts and a rear spoiler I did not tell them and the car got written off ( I hit a Deer) and because I didn't tell them of the changes they refused to pay out so I lost a lot of money , and I let the adds run hopefully this helps you out

@@ResurwreckAutosUK hi mate thanks for the reply. Dont worry if u cant, i was just asking as u know the rear bumper of a1 has a short base clearance so the trims i found is quite long for the bumper. But what u got ther is a perfect fit. Great vid anyway mate👌🏼

Great job considering they was aftermarket parts.Not my cup of tea but his car his choice. We was all boy racers at some point. I hope hes told his insurance about all the modifications they will use anythig to squirm out of paying out .

The people wondering where the front splitter is from it is from KSB they make a front splitter that fits a1 and s1 really good splitter i have one on my own a1!!!

Mark u should of got a picture up it looks perfect but I still think we should be looking at the very least one that has been fitted originally school boy errors mark will we be taking the appropriate action next time that’s for sure because I don’t want to have to deal with comments that are of just the unkind sorts sir so I’ve made this mistake that’s how I know
