Installing Govee Footwell Lights In My GR86

Thank you so much! Just installed the Govee lights in my 2024 GR86. This tutorial made install so much easier (and much neater, because I would have never thought to try to pull them from behind the radio, so I would have just had wires sticking out everywhere!)

when you pulled it from behind the radio was it difficult? did you use a specific tool and is it completely hollow once you stick the wire through?

@@peechabot Pulling it behind the radio was the most difficult part. I tried it without anything a few times before being ready to give up, but then my husband gave me some kind of wire to hook onto the end of the lights, which made it much easier to maneuver. I would suggest trying something like that. I imagine taking apart a wire coat hanger, straightening it out, and then curving the end a bit to hook onto the end of the lights would work perfectly. Once you get it behind the radio, it does take a little twisting and turning to find the other side out, but it isn't overly complicated. Good luck!!

i noticed driven media also has a whole LED light kit did you find this route you went to be a better option would you say? seems like they use quality LEDs just not sure what youre take is ahn it

I don’t believe they make footwell lights.

@@ScrubsMedia24 oh no I meant their LED light kit which comes with all the lights you installed here in this video. I was just asking if you were aware of it since the kit also comes with the mirror vanity lights. Their kit is a bit cheaper and it includes all the lights you installed here plus the mirror vanity lights
