Never seen a building like that being delivered. Nifty pieces of specialized equipment they had. Thanks for sharing.

That was my exact thought as well, I am very happy Shawn shared this video with us, very clever way of doing it and that mower machine was very cool!

Really cool to see how they move those buildings. It would be nice to see some of your past jobs to see how the grass has came in and the long term improvements of what you’ve done.

You get yourself into all kinds of projects, don't you? Thanks for posting this up, perfect timing. I have a playhouse I am setting on 5' high stilts today for the kids (it is 5'x8' w/ 4' walls - basically a small shed). I am using a farm jack (just like the shed movers in this video), and was concerned about damaging the siding with the jack. I see your guys put a wheel on each side of the top of the rail. Perfect! I'll have to copy that.

Thank you! I do get into lots of cool projects. More videos are in the works so stay tuned! - Shawn

Thanks Ed! We did a channel drain today but the pencil vib is not in yet....
@edpoints11273 жыл бұрын
Did you find or even need a pre-sloped trench drain? Per our conversation, I remember buying them when I was a purchase agent for an industrial contractor at a VERY well known soy sauce manufacturer in Walworth, Wi. You can probably Google it 😉👍🏻. It would have worked great on the application that I saw at your pool job. I'm sure you come across that situation often and hope you can find a manufacturer for the product. I can't remember the name, yet I'm positive their product would solve your problems there and most likely in the future. All said and done, it will make you a better contractor with more solutions to the specific problems that you encounter. I understand sometimes your options are limited based on the landscape etc... Trying to use my life experiences to give you an edge👍🏻

I'm gonna say you'll be at 20k by mid June. Crazy good. One day it'll be 100k - who knows when that'll be... Soon I'm sure! The eBay stuff is looking successful as well! Well done!

Thank you Alex! You were the first to call 10k. I keep meaning to do another xxxsub special but 2k, 5k, 10k, 15k came and went and I've been busy...I'll try really hard to do a 20k.

Great method. Is that crushed rock or crushed recycled concrete? The colour throws me. And does it make a termite barrier?
@GCFD3 жыл бұрын
It's crushed rock from the quarry. Same consistency as recycled concrete I think. Yes, it's a good termite barrier.
@Reidbit3 жыл бұрын
Hey Shawn, have you ever thought about welding up a camera mount for your go pro that you could attach at a low point to your dump truck? The top down view is nice. Would be a good cinematic show of the waterfall of material from a close up angle. If you have an email I could send you a picture/drawing of what I was thinking. I did something similar for a college project in 2013 that looked really nifty.

you need to get yourself a laser level system so you can form your stone pads and other jobs correctly - should have taken the topsoil out of the shed pad - some times your work is quite amateurish - I guess that's why you don't have a contractor's license - shame on you
@GCFD3 жыл бұрын
The homeowner didn't want the uphill corner of the shed underground. 👍
@JR-pd9xz3 жыл бұрын
@@GCFD you missed the point - preparation of the gravel bed - you know leveling, square corners, drainage, ....
@JR-pd9xz3 жыл бұрын
Are you licensed to do the work that you do? your replies are vague. I take it you are not licensed for the work that you do
@GCFD3 жыл бұрын
Yes, leveling that pad would have placed the uphill side underground. Unless we brought in a huge amount of dirt.
@GCFD3 жыл бұрын
You are correct in that a license is not needed for the work I do in my area.
