This might just be me but i hate the stock wheel that comes standard on all the new RS3s. I feel like the 8v wheel was just perfect with the alcantara and circular middle. If it was me I'd be upgrading it as the stock wheel looks like it should belong in the a3

@@user-gm6we3mn6x yeah the exhaust is going to be tricky. I haven’t liked any but like 1 set up I have seen. I will cover the exhaust stuff in that video, atleast to the best of my Knowledge, I am definitely learning as I go that’s for sure. But I’m doing an OPF delete, and new downpipes. My mate who was in this video and helped me with this install does a tonne of fab work so we going to do a custom downpipe and mid pipe and see if we can get it to sound any good and will do a good breakdown of what we do. I am on PS4 S’s atm and honestly, the first like month or two, never had a problem with traction, however, a few months in, still more than plenty tread on them and I’m already spinning a heap doing launch control. How you finding the pirelli’s? Honestly if you don’t do the turbo elbow and just get the intake, it’s $1500 not fitted and the install of the intake itself is pretty easy. And doesn’t throw any codes. These models definitely do lack a tonne compared to the older 8v’s (minus the looks, I think these new ones look way better), so hopefully with some mods, we can fix that. I’m honestly not too worried about resale (probably should be), I’m just keen to get a heap of work done to it haha. Aim is to go syvecs ECU and high power once I got the money for it. If you ever have any questions though, throw me a message on Insta, I can give you a cost of any of the mods I got so far and quotes for future work. And like I said, I’m still learning the car too so don’t know a whole lot haha

Then I’ll spend the next few vids after that trying to get a nice sound out of it if we aren’t happy after the downpipes and OPF delete, we might experiment with adding a high flow cat back to downpipe, or swapped out the cat back exhaust etc till we get something nice 👌🏽

Can I ask what type of front lip/side skirts and rear diffuser You've got going? I've got a glacier white 2024 and I think yours looks great
@samkrushka8 күн бұрын
@@Daveyboy_RS3 thanks man, I got the maxton kit on 👌🏽 So I got the front splitter v2, the maxton valance diffuser with the side extensions, then I also got the maxton side skirt extension. Maxton has two diffuser and front lip options, make sure you look at the ones I mentioned above, because I think there other alternative doesn’t look as good. If you just get them black like I did, they are actually very affordable, but if you do want to spend the money, they do offer them in carbon aswell but cost quite a bit more. If you want me to send through the links where I got them, shoot me a dm on Insta 🙌🏽 I do plan to also get CT Carbon’s carbon wing, and their front carbon bumper inserts they have. Then get carbon mirrors and that’s probably all I’ll rock for carbon on the exterior so it’s subtle.
@Daveyboy_RS38 күн бұрын
@samkrushka Oh I've been researching front lips and rear diffusers for months now. Very familiar with maxton's street pro, V1 and V2 options. I really would prefer them in gloss black, not only cuz they're way cheaper, but I think they look better, however my car came with the carbon package so I'm kind of torn. I think my favorite rear diffuser is from RW carbon and front splitter is the simple Maxton Street Pro Carbon. But considering my car is glacier white, I think I'd want to do the OEM lip in black PPF and then add on the carbon lip. And I think the maxed inside skirts in carbon are nicely done as well. I'll probably do some mix of what I just mentioned. But anyway, your car sounds awesome and love your channel. Thanks for the reply

Nice one man! Is this a 24 model? What’re your goal for the OPFs and Cats (and have you found any Brissy mechanics who have solutions)?
@samkrushka13 күн бұрын
Mine is a 22 model 👌🏽 from what I am aware of, there are no ecu tunes available in Australia unless you send your ecu overseas, which ends up costing almost as much as just going with the Syvecs standalone ECU. So for now I am going to delete the cats and OPF and buy one of the XPF emulators to stop it throwing a code till we have a better solution. I feel like though, if I can get my hands on some extra cash, I might bite the bullet and fork out the 12k+ for the Syvecs ECU bad custom tune hahah. I’m getting bored of waiting for stock ecu tunes.
@samkrushka13 күн бұрын
Do you know of any other options in Aus? I have been in talks with 999 Racing. They will probably be the shop I go to.
@danhutchison969313 күн бұрын
@@samkrushka Yeah I’ve had the same dilemma with my 24 model. My friend Igor at Coorparoo Mechanics has a solution that doesn’t cost a massive fortune, using an emulator - he has a RS3 too. My biggest hold back is that it’s now classified as illegal and will void your warranty doing both a tune and/or de-OPF+Cat.
@danhutchison969313 күн бұрын
If you aren’t concerned about your warranty, I’d tune it - but for me, 401 horsepower is more than enough 😂

Pretty disappointing fitment issue for what I assume was not a cheap intake? Any reason why you decided to go open air rather then a closed intake for better temps?
@samkrushka13 күн бұрын
Yeah, the fitment wasn’t the greatest that’s for sure. Cost me $1500 AUD for the intake alone not fitted. I honestly am still learning what I’m doing and what’s good so I didn’t really think too much of the open air vs closed intake. I really just chose this one because it looked sick and the shop local to my area that pumps out rs3 and is probably one of the leading shops here assured me it was the best option. But when I felt the temps under the hood the other day, I’m kinda thinking otherwise hahah. I’m going to see how it performs and maybe if I’m not happy, might get the eventuri intake since I already got the elbow.
@RajSingh-fs2dr13 күн бұрын
Great video dude but to be honest that intake will be worse than stock. Other than for the noise it’s sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Eventuri or Unitronic make a better aftermarket intake, plus the look and fitment is so much better. Just my 0.02 cents
@samkrushka13 күн бұрын
I did wonder that, but the shop that supplied this intake is one of the leading shops that build these cars local to my area and they guaranteed me that this performs better than the Eventuri one which was my first option. So I was sold haha. But the other day I lifted the hood and could feel the heat under the bay and thought surely it couldn’t be great for it, I have a feeling your right haha. But I’ll see how it goes and performs, and worst case, I already go eventuri elbow and can just buy the intake too and put it in. I honestly like the look of both, but thought with the gold titanium it was something a bit different.
@jonathanr343912 күн бұрын
The other guy was right. Performance > looks. Sounds like the shop was pushing the product and sold you alright. If they also told you the sky is green, does that mean it’s true? Nonetheless, enjoy the new hot air intake.
@samkrushka12 күн бұрын
Haha fair, I’m learning as I make these videos and this shop has built some pretty quick rs3’s. So yeah I listened to what they had to say. But we learn as we go right? As I mentioned in my comment above, I’m realising it probably wasn’t the best choice.
@jonathanr343912 күн бұрын
@ all good man, wasn’t hating or trying to make you feel bad, nor was I talking crap. It’s a sick car for sure. For upcoming mods, I’d suggest researching as much as possible and read actual reviews from people before purchasing, as that’s where the honest feedback comes from. Here, Reddit and Audi forums are your best bet for that.
@samkrushka10 күн бұрын
That’s all good man, I understand! 🙌🏽 i will definitely be looking out for reviews in the future. I am still trying to figure out what to do after the downpipes and OPF delete. No tunes available yet on stock ecu in Australia, only route the shops here offer is Syvecs ECU. I’m tempted to bite the bullet on the price and go all out and aim for big power over time as I got more money to throw at it. Do you have any advice on what I should do next to the car?
@RichLion14 күн бұрын
That's not an air temp sensor yo, it's the DSG breather.
