Installing Kali Linux on Parallels 17 on M1 Mac

Thank you soooo much for this in depth yet simple to understand video on a new install of kali linux on parallels. The only thing I would consider adding is to explain that you need to use sudoDASHapt as when I was looking for tutorials it's what got me confused the most as most don't use the dash and it won't work without it. Thank you again and I'm absolutely sure that your account will grow hopefully quickly as you deserve to be rewarded for putting up such an excellent video

4:14 small tip when either Y or N are capital it means its the default option and no need to enter a letter you can just press enter and the capital letter will be interpreted as chosen.

I am assuming you are saying your Mac has 8 gig of RAM. You can run Linux easily with 2 and Windows will run okay with 4 but it will bog down under heavy workloads at 4 but it is livable.

Can you help us in the next video on how to set a working console port on a Parallels + Kali VM? Some weird happened... Suddenly the VM can not find the right USB devices and, ofcourse, you can not login anymore. Restarting the Mac kind of "fix it" untill the next error. I tried do add a Console port to the VM in order to pinpoint the error, but no success there. I believe that the bug occours when you close your Macbook while the VM is running and it fails to restore to a working state...

@@logeshkanna1509 I have not but Parallels 18 has this feature now and it is baked in. I was going to do a video soon about this. You can setup a protected NIC for using with bad networks using Parallels. I plan to test soon.

Hi thank you so much for the video. but i have some problem when installing things in kali linux on parallels. for example i want to install chrome, the file type is .deb and when i run 'sudo apt install ./.....' it says that "unable to correct problem, you have held broken packages" its not happening on one file but every files ive download it said the same things. can you help me with this problem? thanks in advance!

So because Kali Linux running on Parallels is not really an AMD64 processor based distro, you are better off running Chromium using the Arch Linux version of it. www.kali.org/tools/chromium/ I tested it and this approach works. chromium-107.0.5304.121-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
