Great video. Very informative and I appreciate your calm voice. I’m going with the Kawasaki brand heated grips but should be similar

Just installed these heated grips on my 2024 KLR 650 S. Your instructions were very helpful and I got em installed with only one moment of panic! 😮 I wired them to the bullet connectors under the front headlight. I didn’t need to trim the grips by 5mm. They fit just fine as is. The panic moment was on the throttle side when the super glue set up super fast and they got stuck about halfway. Fortunately, I was able to use a rubber mallet to get them into position. Whew! They work great and I didn’t find any extra connectors laying about after replacing the cowling, etc. Yippee! Looking forward to some Pacific Northwest cool weather riding. Thanks again!

Great news! Glad the video helped. As a side-note, the glue provided with my kit only worked for about a month. I felt the throttle slide a bit during a particularly hot day in the desert. I ended up using another glue that I found at a department store and that has held over the last 8 months. Enjoy the cooler weather of the autumn riding season!

Had that brand grip on my last bike and I liked them. Probably put those on my KLR in the fall. Those bolts on the bar ends are TIGHT! Nice video

Nice! So far we're loving them as well. Thanks for the comment.

great job...I also offset the positive and negative solder joints for added protection and smaller overall finish.

Good call on the offset. Thanks for the comment!

When taking off the old grips, get the end of an air compressor nozzle under the grip and give it a quick shot of air while pulling it off. They slide right off.

Great tip! Appreciate that.

Nice video, thanks. Just a note, primer does not protect from moisture unless it's an epoxy (2K). It's meant to be topcoated.

Your videos are great and I appreciate the time and effort you devote to each one. Can I wire these grips to the connections under the front cowling? I understand that I need to install the relay first. Thanks very much!
@viajarMOTO3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your positive comment! Yes, absolutely you could wire heated grips to any of the three connectors (under tank, left side fairing, or right side fairing) since all are powered from the relay.

Use hair spray under the grips! Slick when wet, basically glue when dry. They slide right on lol

😂 Funny stuff. The heated grips were nice and hot for us during a recent ride around Lake Tahoe.
