Nice video! I ordered one to be built 3 weeks ago. And I have a leg maker on my 2016 hellcat. How’s your iat’s even having no shield as your filter is next to the reservoir? It increased my iats up 30 degrees. But I use a new black insulator blanket that covers the reservoir, and temps are way down now!

I remember flipping the air intake lid on my 71 Chevelle with the trusty 350 V8... All the cool kids did it to hear those four barrels kick in... cost was $0.00. When you floored it, you got Baaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh..... Times sure have changed from when I was a kid. Now Hellcat power cost more than my 1st house did and a sound mod is another 450 smackers. Have fun man, it does sound really good. Your MPGs is gonna drop from 4.5 to 4 LOL

I'm a little late for commenting, but you should make a another video with the stock one back on and the aftermarket one. Do your normal daily driving, pulls, burnouts and whatnot, but keep eye on your cai temperature. Compare boths at the end and just see the temperature differences.

So I just ordered a 2021 Hellraisen Charger RedEye and have subscribed to watch your build so I can get some idea's. I also have an F8 2021 Challenger Scat Pack sitting in my garage as I type and am adding the SC big brother - I've been playing with 4 wheel firepower for years - - just some cars I can remember I have had over the years: a 2020 ROUSH built GT5.0 premium, a 2020 Shelby 350, a 2019 C7 Z06, a 2017 C7 1LT, a 2010 2LT, a 2003 Z06, 1999 Cobra, 1992 Camaro 2SS, 1971 Mustang 351 Cleveland block, peanut plug double pumper 4 speed sleeper car, dual exhaust, posi traction screamer... 😉 (Canceled the HC ordered a ZL1 1LE instead) The Dodges have a Fools Stigma attached - as in kids with no brains drive them... sorry if I offended anyone, just sayin’

It looks like the stock intake was insulated from the engine heat sucking in cooler air. The new intake is naked and seems prone to sucking in hot engine heat air costing performance…?

I’m sure you can use the stock air box with that CAI. You’re losing power by removing that air box. The stock intake was sealed off from all the hot air in your engine bay and now you’re sucking it right up.

Believe it or not, the one supplied by dodge as massive as it is, is somewhat restrictive because it's a closed box design - even with the wide hood ram air scoop. An open filter design will always get more air in and it shows by how much louder the supercharger is

You can not use the ram air tec and avoid the increased temps. By using a insulator blanket. Wish I could post a pic. Local guy near me invented this. It’s a black insulator that covers your reservoir and temps stay back down even lower than stock by a few degrees.
