Great video. I used this as a guide to retrofit M4 front seats as part of a full interior swap in my M235. I originally had the Oyster interior, but swapped the door cards and rear seats with the black leather/alcantara with Polar Blue stitching from an M2. I also added a wire on each seat from pin 17 of the under seat connectors so the M logos illuminate whenever the ambient lighting is in sport mode. I then colored the M4 seat stitching blue to match everything else.

Just wanted to share this awesome kit i have: I have a 2020 M4 Competition convertible in Yas Marina blue on the full leather interior in Silverstone (BMW’s version of white). The dealership gave me this cleaning combo kit when I purchased the car and it’s been amazingly awesome and has worked better than any other product I’ve ever used. Kit is called: Permaplate Deluxe Maintenance Kit (I opted for a warranty through BMW that covers any mishaps to the interior fabrics on all of the interior surfaces which is sourced via the Permaplate Co.) Kit has washing solution,carpet & upholstery cleaner,paint protection renewer,& leather protection renewer

I have a 2017 M2 and I love the seats. I have absolutely no problem with them. I've driven long trips and they are as comfortable as any I've ever had in other BMWs. However, i do like the M4 seats. Unfortunately I'll never be able to afford those.

What are you planning on doing with your factory seats? I have base seats and a cheap upgrade for me would be a set of sport seats like yours. I have also been looking for months for some f80 seats but have not found anything close to 1500 but I can fine sport seats out of salvage cars for like 200 a piece picked up.

so i saw another retrofit video regarding the coding part which is transferring your OG M2 seat computer to the M4 seats since the connectors are the same, so the car reads that it’s the M2 seats while physically having the M4 seats. apparently the error code can still come up but clearing it with the OBD2.🤷🏻‍♂️ anyways, been watching all your M2 videos since i have an 2016 m235 MT; always a fun video and thanks for sharing your retrofit, it’s fire🔥🙌🏼 missing the M2 knowing u don’t have it anymore 🥺

hey did you sell your seat, or what did you do with them, i picked up a used F30 N55 and it had been in a fender bender and had seat damage so i got a sweet deal on it, but the leather being ripped in the driver seat is gnarly to look at. Where do you even acquire these seats? I just took my seats out last weekend to do an extreme detail =)

Did you have to code the seat modules in the end? As I got the same errors after just unplugging mine to get to the under seat subs. Running a seat calibration in ISTA cleared the error

Any time, also for the gloss carbon backs..look into maybe getting them wrapped in a matte clear vinyl or even matte clear coat. It'll probably flow better vs leaving them in just a gloss finish
