It was me who said 12.5 roller weights 4 weeks ago when I seen your Gilera runner video of you doing the weights and wasn’t happy with the 9 gram, most people like 12s specifically on the roads, glad you agree 💪🏽
@urban_riders5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I also haven't tried running half 9g and half 12.5g. I wonder if its worth doing for a "sportier" feel.
@reecehignett955 ай бұрын
Yeah maybe, I don’t personally run 2 different weights but you can do, but I wouldn’t go below 14.5 myself gets to aggressive at the start and you loose a lot of mid and high range power when the weights are to light

I’m so jealous, we didn’t get any of these awesome 2 stroke scooters in the US, that pretty much everywhere else did. The best we got I believe is the aprilia sr50 and the older genuine / Vespa. But none of the cool sports ones like this. I want to figure out how to import one. Glad this channel popped up for me, gonna watch all of these videos now and dream😂

I think this applies to most countries. You have some cool models like the Honda Ruckus that we don't get. Have a look at Iconic Motorbikes in California, they often have 2T bikes from South Africa, and can source it for you.

@ the ruckus is pretty sweet I didn’t realize it wasn’t sold everywhere. I didn’t even think about doing it through them.

The best combination for this motor is: Runner 180 original green belt, piaggio original counter spring and the malossi multivar. according Setup between 12,5-14gr. And maybe shim the multivar with a 0,5-1mm washer.

swap the carb to a 25mm dellorto, swap the clutch springs to green colour malossi ones and youll get huuge improvement with about same fuel economy...

Bigger carb for better fuel economy?? How? 🤔

Hmmm, maybe thats something we should try. We are planning of installing a bigger carb eventually.

Man spraying brake cleaner to the malossi variator is wrong. It has a special self lubricating oil infused metal that doesnt like any chemicals. After i did that on mine it started binding and it was ruined. It is also mentioned in the assembly instructions.
@DamnnSonnn5 ай бұрын
But what about when you’re assembling and get grease on your parts. How do you clean?
@takis5505 ай бұрын
@@DamnnSonnn When you open the malossi variator you can install it as is. It doesnt need grease. You can wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth
@DamnnSonnn5 ай бұрын
@@takis550 that does make sense. But what about the torque driver? When I installed that and had to grease it I tried to keep it clean but still got some on it. What should I clean it with?
@takis5505 ай бұрын
@@DamnnSonnn the torque driver doesnt have any problem with brake cleaner so you can clean it
@urban_riders5 ай бұрын
Hey @takis550 I have gone back and checked the user manual and can't seem to find where it says you should not use brake cleaner on the surface of the variator. Under the general instructions for all Multivar 2000's, Point 1. It states: "Thoroughly clean the external area of the drive side casing where you will be working." It does not mention anything else regarding cleaning. Under the exact Instructions for the Multivar we installed (Multivar 2000 5111258) it does not state anything about a coating or a warning about cleaning the variator. If anyone would like to see the instruction manual I'm referencing, you can find it here: wemalossistore.blob.core.windows.net/files/montaggio/pdm/7311323.pdf Page 33 - General Instructions Page 35 - Multivar 2000 (5111258)

The original pipe works exceptionally well, you right. The stock is strong and linear. Some clients prefer the variation of the power delivery of the aftermarket pipes.
