Just got the 6in model in the mail the other day, haven't installed it yet. My biggest question is what kind of kitchen racks are those? I've only been able to find the standard 6 foot racks and I need something better than our 2x4 plastic tables so we can get some airflow from the bottom.

They are from Amazon. If you search 4 ft metal shelves you will come across them!

A few things I like about this video. 1.). You didn't have to do it with a thong and bra on. I HATE that women do that in order to get clicks. You have self respect 👍 2.). It's a fairly male dominated market as far as these grow videos. It's good to see a well spoken intelligent woman speaking proper English. 3.). You don't act like an expert, we're all learning here, and you're not afraid to make mistakes. (not implying you are, we're learning together!) All in all, I appreciate this type of video. Well done, and thank you, exactly what I was looking for regarding the mars hydro. 👍👍

Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words and couldn’t agree with you more! Especially on #1 lol but definitely we’re all here to learn together and I enjoy sharing my experiences with this community and in turn have also learned a lot from the community! Glad you enjoyed this video and found it useful!

Me too! I love being able to set for temp and humidity and I found out for my plant lovers in Canada (cause I know they use celsius) you can change the temp display to celcius. Just another cool feature I noticed lol Thanks for watching!

What do you use low temp for with the fan????
@NailzByA20 күн бұрын
I don’t use the low temp setting I use high temp and high humidity so if it gets too hot or too humid the fan will turn on and help dissipate the heat/humidity. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@NailzByA20 күн бұрын
But low temp setting would be set to turn the fan off if the temp gets too low to stop the fan from releasing the heat

One more question I just had a seed break surface now I'm supposed to water then let it dry but since its only probably an inch down in the soil I cant do the lifting pot to check how dry it is or even the inch down with a finger method so how do I judge when to water next? Thanks.
@NailzByA2 жыл бұрын
I would just check every other day from the day you water it till it’s almost dry or completely dry whenever you’d want to water it next with your finger so you can get a sense of how many days it takes to dry out and that will give you a better gauge of when you should water it. If you live somewhere that has winters remember that soon that schedule will probably change and become more frequent as it starts to get warmer. I hope this helps!

Hola ! Se puede utilizar el controlador de temperatura en todos los extractores de Mars Hydro ?
@NailzByA6 ай бұрын
This I am not sure of so don’t quote me on this and I would definitely recommend contacting Mars Hydro support directly with this question but I would think if there’s a spot to plug it, it would be compatible. Sorry I couldn’t help.

Hi I got mars hydro grow tent today and am struggling how to get the humidity and temperature right . Any advice would be very much welcomed 🥰
@NailzByA Жыл бұрын
Hi! Awesome so if the humidity is to low you’d add a humidifier. If the humidity and or temp is to high that’s some things the fan and carbon filter system are meant to help control. Also adding grow lights into the tent will make the temp higher than it would be without them so running the fan more often if the temp and/or humidity is consistently to high will lower the temp and humidity and running it less often if it’s lower will allow the lights to make it warmer and the humidifier to make it more humid. I hope this helps!

@@NailzByA thanks so much . I have been using humidifier and using mars hydro 6500 smart light . The fan has a mind of its own though lol and wants to run below the numbers I’ve put in the controller

Yw! Lol I know sometimes these systems act silly lol hopefully you’ll be able to figure out a setting that will keep it running when you need it to be!

Do you think you could fill the void Inside a carbon filter with bags of activated carbon for extra odor removal?
@NailzByA Жыл бұрын
To be honest I am not sure. I’d be on the safe side and not do that as to not mess with the fan but you can hang the bags and it will help pull the odor out without putting it in the fan. They are also referred to as activated charcoal bags anyways they do work great for absorbing odors when used by themselves. Thanks for watching, hope this helps!

I had one question I'm doing 18 hours on 6 off during the 6 off does the fan need to be kept on? and can the vents be kept closed this whole time because my main concern is the odor when left off. Thanks
@NailzByA2 жыл бұрын
I fortunately haven’t experienced much of an odor issue in any of my grow tents. So I have my ventilation system set to turn on if the temp exceeds 85 F and my small fan runs on and off every few hours for an hour or so and I be sure to run it at times that would be more susceptible to mold or odor issues like when my grow light is off since the moisture will settle more since the heat from the light isn’t helping to evaporate it the fan will help keep it moving rather than settling. The fan will also help keep air circulating around the tent while your ventilation system is off so in short I would say yes, I’d run the fan during the down time of the ventilation system. You can get an inexpensive timer plug on Amazon to help you control when the fan runs. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

@@NailzByA Ok so can I leave it all closed up with the fan on or do I still need to leave a vent open? sorry, I just wanted to clarify, and thanks for the response. I don't want to suffocate it
@NailzByA2 жыл бұрын
If your trying to keep the humidity up you can leave it closed unless you start to notice more odor than usual or mold but if it’s not long periods without ventilation running and I’d say 6 hours is fine to leave it closed and you have a fan running it should be fine. If your not worried about humidity you can open it during periods of downtime.
@joshuahereth50942 жыл бұрын
Always leave the fan on !! Even if it's just low , air circulation is I biggie!!!
