Installing McGaughy's Drop Spindles and Springs on My 84 C10 (Crusty)

Finally got the front lowered! looks a lot better but now I have some clearance issues to work on. The Belltech shocks didn't fit the front either had to grind them down to get them to fit! Suburban rallys in the rear and van rallys in the front . Same here but I did mine blk with chrome rings and caps.

What do you think of the no name drop spindles...azon sells?2.5 “ I can’t find McGaughys, locally and I think Belltech are going to hit on my 15” x7 aluminum rims Great video been following your project!

I’m not sure about the no name spindles, but I know with a 2.5 drop your wheel will probably hit the lower control arm like mine did when you turn. Thanks for following along I appreciate it! ✌️

i need to do this and disc breaks on my 68 pu i got it already sitting 3 inches lower by putting in a ho 454 in it

Do your tires rub when turning? I have the same spindles with 275/60/15

Nah they don’t rub. I have 235/60/15. The rim’s will rub the lower a-arm, I had to grind them a little bit. Here’s the video where I did that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKGxnIV-bMaej7M

What size back tire is that? I got a 295x50 on a 15x10 rim and yours looks a lot widder than my 295s....

I would say any spindle over 2” drop with 15” wheels there’s gonna be issues. With bigger rims there wouldn’t be any problems but I wanted to run my 15” rallies.

Did you have to get 1 1/4 rotors for this kit?

Nah I got the kit for 1” rotors which is what I have, you got to get the kit for your size rotors.
