I have 295k miles on my lml and still have the cp4. I can't say I'm not nervous, but so far, so good. Probably, thanks to my AirDog for taking most of the load off it.

My heart dropped when you lowered the cab back down and didn’t even replace the downpipe . Brought back ptsd from when I did mine with cab on. Those heat shields are brutal

This may be old news by now, but I don’t have a lift and I was able to pull my LMM heat shields out in about half an hour without cutting anything. Remove the passenger side body mount bolts and jack the cab about two inches. That’s all the clearance you need

Its been about 7 years since I tackled a turbo swap with my duramax with limited knowledge and I to this day can't think of a more miserable 2 day job that I have ever done, pulling the cab woulda been heaven

I have a 04 lly with both the vane position and vane actuator codes. Put both brand new ones in and did a relearn. Still getting the codes. Could my vanes be sticking?

hello...this is sort of off topic. .notice that you changed tire size on all your trucks... how well did your trans do?.. shifting?. .possibly trans going into limp mode? Did you have to change the settings in the comp for tire diameter?

I have a question in regards to the older video you show at the end. What transmission fluid do you use in your black GMC? Mine (2019 silverado 2500hd duramax) is shifting hard between 2nd and 3rd gear, and I also hear a metallic type click. Is this normal? I've taken it to GM and they said it's normal because it's the torque converter engaging. It doesn't sound right. Thanks for any info about it. Keep making your videos.

I would think that those veins could be flushed and cleaned while the engine is running just like a turbo fan engine can be compressor washed on airplanes with turbo prop engines.

Another banger Josh loved it I really want to do that to my lmm I'm having my first issue when I come to a stop I get a little smoke out of the right side hood then it stops it happens about about every 200 miles no signs of leaking fluid anywhere all my fluids are to the top it's not hurting any thing it's annoying I have no idea and I'm mechanically inclined of gas lol my first Diesel truck hopefully I can figure it out loved the video thanks for sharing these with us Jesus is Lord !¡!!!!

Help! My LLY is leaking coolant. I’ve noticed it’s coming out my exhaust and my upper hose is firm but not rock hard like I’ve heard in other cases. Definitely building pressure in over flow tank as well which I’m noticing about half a gallon gone maybe every two or three weeks. Engine is studded about 5 years back. But just recently with colder temperatures I’ve noticed the extra vapors from the coolant evaporating in the exhaust. It doesn’t do this after it warms up and also it is hard to start sometimes(could be battery). Could this be a leak through the turbo or anyone got an idea?

Truck Master Genuine Random Question. I’ve got a 95 12 Valve. (Bone stock) I want to put it through the wringer and make it a useable work truck for my everyday life. For that I’m going to end up asking a lot out of that truck, when it comes to electrical. I need a power Inverter, power to my extra Gauges, flashing strobe work lights, cb radio, a bigger amp (for a sound System) and the Inverters going to be charging my radios, my computer, and “ my mobile WiFi hot spot” my Milwaukee batteries. Now my question is, is it safe to wire all those auxiliary connections to my Auxiliary Battery or would it be worth it to convert my Truck to a triple Battery system and tie all my Auxiliary systems to that 3rd Battery and if I need to do the 3 battery set up what do you think would be the Best Mounting location for it?

Not sure if this answers but I bought a 68mm 9 blade for LMM and they said the 9 has more whistle and is more of a “race” style turbo not intended for towing and because so when driving highway 9 blades will have higher EGT’s do to vane position? Shoot ‘em an email lol

Thats just a wierd system for that turbo. Those veins look like they will get stuck often.

Vw has been using variable vane turbos since the mid 90’s. As long as you work the turbo by some decent pulls like 75% throttle keeps the vanes going to full travel on both open and closed positions preventing from getting stuck. The vanes redirect airflow to hit the turbo blades at an optimum angle to spool quicker and more efficiently to reduce lag time.
