I am being asked about the hoops for trailer chains. They are there just behind the steel. Keeping them tucked under keeps them from dragging on rocks.

As much as I like my low profile Shrockworks rear bumper, attaching the safety chains was a pain until I added a couple heavy duty Quick Links which helps a lot and using anything but the simplest hitch pin is a pain. Especially if you use a locking hitch pin

Last June I installed my Shrockworks F&R bumper and rock sliders. As expected they are rock sloid and installation was straight forward and I'm very happy with them. The license plate lights, and the hitch wiring were both a minor hassle, but easy to deal with. When I order my bumper, I didn't get the expensive Baja Designs backup light for the cutouts, because I was pretty certain that I could easily find lights that were cheaper. WRONG I looked everywhere and nothing. So, Baja Designs it was. They installed as easy as everything else and really do add enough light to comfortably backup in the backcountry BUT last week, it was sad to see that as of Jan 2023 they are now out of business, and failed to deliver on a number of prepaid orders between last July and this month.😕

I was disappointed to hear they closed shop as well. Hopefully they can make it right for those who didn’t get their orders and perhaps come back in some fashion.

Happen to know the torque specs for the bolts on bumper? Couldn’t seem to find anywhere!

I don’t recall and the paperwork is long gone.

Looks great! I’m wondering how much it weighs compared to the stock bumper and hitch. The Shrockworks bumper looks heavy but it might now be that much different than stock+ the hitch.

New bumper is 87lb and the stock is 61lb. However the hitch was 30lb. So really is no difference in weight.
