It's been amazing for me to watch the two of you evolve over the years. From Rae's initial excitement/anxiety about going full-time in your huge Solitude to now downsizing to a truck camper. You both seem so much more relaxed and confident taking on tasks that were perhaps unthinkable to even contemplate just a few years ago. I'm looking forward to the full reno completion walk-thru and then the launch of this next stage of your adventures. Well done!

That looks great. My husband put laminate flooring in our old house. We had a corner pantry which was a weird angle. My father in law was a tool maker, and great at math, and angles. So he took a few pieces home with him and cut them. When he brought them back they fit perfectly. We didn’t have the kit and getting them close to the wall or ends was a pain. We have some kind of floor like that. But it isn’t planks. I think ours is linoleum. It is one big piece through most of the house. But it’s great with three dogs.

Side note: if you don’t use the spacers you still have to leave a small expansion gap between the perimeter of the flooring and the walls. Otherwise, the floor may buckle when going through temperature changes, especially extreme changes. I’m a builder, but I just bought a camper to travel full time. Happy travels! Absolutely love the flooring so much easier to keep you camper cleaner than carpet. Did a renovation on a travel trailer and removed all carpet Absolutely loved the difference of the clean of the trailer and the ease of installation. Just fabulous. I think you will be happy with the outcome. Good luck and safe travels soon. Shoots if you get a home you could get a fixer-upper and be able to renovate it
