Installing new headlights on 2000-2005 Chevy Impala

Thanks for the video, I just bought a '05 last week, and the previous owner put in LEDs, but he had the left side pointing at the ground 5ft in front of car. The best part of this video is I now know where that wiring harness thing goes, that was laying on top of the battery, it pushes into a hole on the underside of that steel diagonal brace...

Mine used to be a police car. No time to fiddle with it, but the plug didn't go right into the lights. Should I worry?

He didn't position the rubber trim correctly. It goes inside the fender, not outside.

Do the new headlight fixtures need to be adjusted ? Do they even have adjustment screws?

yes they are usually never very straight, and yes there are screws

I bought these and replaced in less than five minutes, only problem is my headlight point nearly straight down and adjusting seems to be impossible. There is no info anywhere on the world wide web on how to adjust the beam.

They're called Daytime Running Lights. If the car is on and in gear, DRLs are on, without any prompting from you.

I bought these new headlights from eBay. They look great but can barely see 10 feet in front of me with low beams. High beams not much better. I drive around with the high beams and have never been flashed once. Cheap Chinese headlights.

I put new bulbs in .the bulbs that come with are not very good

@@addismultitasking3504 yeah the included bulbs are garbage. A low beam went out after a few months. I swapped in my old bulbs but no difference in lighting. I ordered some LED lights, hoping they will be better.

@@AntonioMartinez-gg5ru i tried my original good bulbs in the new housing, no difference. It's like the new units aren't aimed properly or don't reflect enough light properly. I hit a deer last Fall I guarantee it's because those new headlight units, I couldn't see nearly as far.
