Installing Pillars on my 2013 KIA SOUL

Glad you’re enjoyed the video. It’s truly not hard at all just takes a little patience and some time and any design you make will come out just wonderful the Vinyl decals literally do all the work. What’s great about this project is that it’s not paint if you see something you want to change or don’t like the color you can easily peel it off and restart again. Thanks for sharing the video on the Kia Soul A Pillar Molding replacement. I had to replace my 2010 a couple of years back when it blew off the car while I was driving it. When the first one fell off, I saw the drivers side didn't have long to go either - so I ordered both at the same time, got a good deal on Amazon and they went on good. I really like your Kia's Geodesic pattern - looks really sharp. I hope you got your passenger side fixed - thanks again for the video.

Great video, thank you! My pillars have been twisting and warping due to the heat here in Las Vegas. While on a road trip a strong cross wind ripped the left one off.

Thank you for watching and I totally understand. Here in Texas mine became so brittle they cracked and crumbled when I tried adjusting them due to warping as well. I finally dished out the money to get them. I’m very thankful I did. stay safe and sound👍🏽✌🏽

They sent exactly what you ordered. Left and right on your car is from the prospective when you are sitting in the car. Driver side is left, passenger side is right.

Glad you enjoyed watching, this was just a temporary fix so that I would not have to see the hail damage done since it bothered me so much seeing it. I am getting ready pretty soon to paint the entire vehicle on my own I’m thinking I might go with a very deep dark gray and leaving the white trim? Stay safe 👍🏽✌🏽

It always amazes me how many people get it backwards. Simple way to avoid making the mistake, where is your left turn signal? It's always left as you're sitting in the car. NOT looking at it.

Rule of thumb…when it comes to left or right side of a vehicle, left side is driver side and right side is passenger side.

Left side is always the driver's side on US cars

Thanks for video. Very informative. I wonder if it is possible to replace just the clips. I have a 2013 Soul. The pillars are still in good shape, but the top clip on each side broke (for some reason?). So the top of each pillar is bent outward. I have not been able to find the part number for the clips. There are a lot of kits that have hundreds of clips, but I have to be sure one will fit? Ideas?

Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply unfortunately I’m not saying it’s not possible but the fact that the plastic pillars themselves become very brittle through climate changes I’m afraid if by trying as soon as you bend the pillars in the process of prying them off they’re going to end up cracking that’s what happened with me. However, I do live in Texas and the heat here is pretty extreme, maybe in your area might be different due to climate changes. Hope this information helped you stay safe and sound..👍🏽✌🏽

Thank you for watching and the compliment.I too think it looks pretty awesome however what I ended up doing is I made a video on the decal. I bought the vinyl strips and cut out each shape myself. There’s no actual duplicate decal, in short it was of my own creation if you search my videos you will find how I did it in the process if you have any other questions let me know stay safe out there👍🏽✌🏽

I’m trying to install the pillars on my Veloster and I can’t get the tabs to grab onto the car. So the part just sits there, do you have any tricks that might work?

Wow you spend a lot of time just talking. And then you published a vidro showing your mistake. You did receive a left side cover. The drivers side is the left side.

Thanks for watching , Well I did in fact order both since they both needed replacement and yes a mistake was done in doing so and it was corrected. Was just on a budget, both made a huge difference. @@solisapaul BTW I watched your video in prep for a 2010 windshield replacement that I had to do. You can in fact remove both covers without breaking them. I thought after doing it I should have made a video.
