Installing Prime Carbon Handlebars and Di2 bar end, an epic journey

I’m an caveman when it comes to bikes, Bowden cables all round!, I only went sti 5 years ago! My road bike is 30 years old. Previous bike was nicknamed the antiques roadshow as the frame was my fathers! Well done tidy job.

How did you route the Di2 cables? Did you run the left shifter to the right using another port? Or did you use the Y junction? Curious to know if you can thread a cable from one side of the bar to the other, or if the middle of the bars, where the stem connects, is solid. Thanks.

haha i just got this handlebar but did'nt put all the cables into it. I just wrap them up with bartapes: )

I couldn’t be arsed with all the faffing about installing mine 🤣 left the bike at Handlebars in Islington London . Picked it up and they was done 🤷🏻‍♂️👍🏻

I’ve had Di2 for a while now, wouldn’t go back to mechanical on a road bike. It’s just so good.

Looks good! Though you've possibly convinced me to stick with 'clockwork' cables and the like. Do like the idea of the tactile buttons mind. Is the feel of carbon bars really that much better? Carbon might win me over one day🙂

Now that it's been a year, how do you rate the carbon bars over traditional round bars for comfort?

I genuinely really like them, how much is due to them being carbon and how much is just that they’re the right size (previous were wider) I’m not sure. Definitely less road buzz through them though!
