How is the Maintenance on them ? How often you greasing? thanks for the video! installing them this weekend
@offroadwizard19282 жыл бұрын
I would do them once a year. Same as changing the fluid. If you do more water crossings then more often. I like doing my yearly maintenance in the spring but that’s cause I do more wheeling in the summer.

Hey man. Awesome video! What ball joints are you running? How are they holding up?
@offroadwizard192810 ай бұрын
Thanks! Ball joints are stock. Everything is holding up good so far. I blew a hub last time it was out but so far the front axles are doing good. I picked up a super duty 60 for the front. Gathering the money and parts to put that together. That’s the end game. The RCV’s were just a place holder till I can afford to do 1 tons.

Hey man, great video, I'm installing these PITA axle shafts on a dana 44 in an old chevy truck. I did not see in your video on how you got dealt with the lower ball joint. How did you access and tighten the nut? Did you have to cut the stud to ensure clearance.
@offroadwizard19282 жыл бұрын
I cut the stud down. It was rubbing if I didn’t. It was a pain in the ass.

Thanks for the compliment by the way man. I have more stuff coming out. Need to get off my butt and post it. On your question about access, I was able to get a wrench in there. It’s all really tight though. Before you stick the axles in, cut that stud down. I cut it to the height of the nut. Then pull it all apart to get the axle in.

What size tire are you running?
@offroadwizard19282 ай бұрын
@@FortuneOffRoad they’re 41.5 Pitbull Rockers. Really too big for the axles but the automatic helps with the shock load. I know technically the RCV’s are warranty’d for 40’s.

@offroadwizard1928 I love it dude! Had any issues with the front and that tire size?
@offroadwizard19282 ай бұрын
@ Just the hub exploding and the Detroit stripping teeth. It was a used axle so it’s possible rhymes were on their way out already. Haha

I know this may be a stupid question. But do the RCV Dana 44 axles work with a Dana 44 TTB front axle??
@offroadwizard1928 Жыл бұрын
They should work. The length should be the only real difference. You’ll need to call them and let them know what you have. I pulled my axles and they sent a form for me to fill out that makes sure you get the correct axles.
