Installing Rennline Decklid Strut on my 964 RS America

So since I got my RS America back in February of 2022, my rear decklid has never been able to stay up as the struts were blown out as a majority of aircooled cars are.
I was able to install a single mechanical Rennline strut and it was easy even for a noob like me and it works perfectly even with my heavy RS America wing.
I probably need to install a second one but so far its holding up so if this can help someone out, I am glad that it helped.

Thanks for the video! Looking at doing this to my 964. Do the struts damp the lowering of the lid or simply latch it in the up position? My only concern is bumping the lid and having it slam shut.

There is a slight sag once it’s propped up. You drop it by raising it again. I love this product

I had one from a few years ago. Instructions say light decklids only need one. So I’m assuming heavy ones need two but mine is holding up well.
