Installing RWD wheels on an AWD Charger

Some say you can't put RWD wheels on an AWD Charger, that they won't fit, "Things" won't work. I have seen other people do this already so I thought I would give it a try as there are not many good options for the AWD cars. They look great! They do poke out a little in the front but I can live with it for sure.

I know this is a dumb question, but are you sure your car is AWD, I thought that you could only get the AWD with the V6, the wheels look great on there, I’m thinking I may put a set of RWD wheels on my AWD 👍

Trust me it’s AWD, I’ve done an engine swap on this car so I know all too well about it’s drivetrain. For its generation the R/Ts were very common as AWD especially in the north east.

is yours lowered ? i have rwd wheels and it looks like a monster truck and they stick out to much 245-45-20

No the suspension is completely stock. Do you have factory RWD wheels or aftermarket? A lot of aftermarket wheels add offset to make them more flush on a RWD car but will make them stick out too much on an AWD.

@@grizzly05 The tires are a little oversized because I got a great deal on some used ones. 245/50R20

So your telling us that there really isn’t any “spacers” needed ?? I have the same RT and I’m here not trying spend $1300 for the awd viper wheels lol

No you don’t need spacers. The RWD wheels actually stick out a little, spacers would be counter productive. If you were to put AWD wheels on a RWD you would need spacers.

I’ve seen those wheels on the Challengers, but never on the Chargers.

I see very similar wheels but the spokes will have sort of sharp edges, these are rounded and smooth.
