Funny thing. Today is Tuesday. 🤣 It is so true about picking your child up. You're aware of this because of Nevaeh, but it is so easy to forget that that day comes all too fast. One day the lifting up will change from physical to emotional. One day they won't come running in to jump on your lap. One day the cuddles just stop. But, if you're lucky, that all just morphs into the adult equivalents. I am so amazed by your viewers and so thrilled by them too! This year is going to be a wonderful year for the staff because they will get to do something awesome for their charges. And for the parents too because they'll get to see the smiles and distractions instead of just the worry and sterile environments. I say a great big thank you to all the viewers of GSL! Your support and encouragement mean so much more than y'all could know and I'm proud of each and every one of you! ❤️

Never fails...I thought I had made it through this last closing narrative without crying, but the last sentence got me. You have really stumbled upon a great thing, Melissa. Your words leave every one of us spellbound, and that's what we take away at the end. Funny how it encapsulates the entire video. Every single upload leaves me with a hopeful, joyful heart. Because of the very last words. ~ Congratulations on what a success the toy drive has been! The kids are doing a remarkable job of organizing and packing everything up. They've done the same kind of disciplined job you and Jeremy have done on the house. The apples have definitely fallen straight from the trees!

Melissa, one day, when you finally realize that you are old and you can no longer physically do those things that you so enjoyed, will be the time that you start remembering everything you and your children did. That's why it's so important to stop and smell the roses from time to time, as eventually, all that is left is the memories.

"The Lasts" are indeed so important. As grandparents we look back, when one of our grandchildren reach a milestone or do something "cute" and remember when we experienced those things with their parents and it is a wonderful memory. We wish we had taken more pictures or video but still it is GOOD. God bless you two as you experience those "lasts".

Sung to the tune of 'The Garden Song". Bit by bit, row by row. You're going to make that siding go. Up on your house to and fro, gonna make it a home. Inch by inch, row by row, gonna work before the snows, gonna work both high and low, gonna make it your home. Pulling presents from the mail, you get to work in cold and hail, goin' to the hospital, so they can make it home. Grain for grain, sun and rain, find your way in natures chain, 'til your body and your brain, know that you are home."

Hello from the state of Iowa. I just wanted to say that hearing your comment about how your kids someday won't need to be lifted up. As a woman of 53 years, I am lucky enough to still have my parents living and I still yearn for their words of encouragement and lifting up. My parents are my best friends! There will come a day when I will take care of them as they did for me for my first 18 years. The love and joy you have for and with your children, I hope, never fades. You both are wonderful parents! It makes me smile to see you joke around and laugh with them. May that never change! God bless and Thank you!

Well said. I asked myself a # of times Years ago, “When was the last time I had to bath our boys”? It was here and gone before I knew it. I remember saying to someone, “ My housework will always be here but our boys won’t. In the blink of an eye they married 2 months apart. Now we have 5 Grandchildren. What a journey. Enjoy every minute. Your house looks awesome. 😊💕🙏🏻🇨🇦

You are spot on about not knowing when one of those simple, mundane tasks we do with our kids will be a last time. I find myself counting down the days when my time of raising kids will be done. My daughter is 15 and we are past the majority of our firsts and have even accomplished the majority of our lasts. I am savoring the remainder of the ones we have left. Those moments are so precious. I remember when she was little and they told me to enjoy each and every moment because of how quickly they pass. But, when she was little, days often seemed to drag on. Yet, they were correct…the days have passed quickly and many days weren’t appreciated as they ought to have been. And, now, I often wish to grab a hold of this remaining time that’s left but it often seems as futile as trying to grasp running water with your hands. Blessings to you all. The build is coming along beautifully…whether done in two days or by Tuesday.

Yours is the only you tube channel I watch. What you are doing is incredible, you are an inspiration. It's so rare to see such a close family bond these days. I thought it was only here in the UK that you could see sun, rain and snow all in one day but guess not lol. Your house is looking more beautiful as each day passes x

As usual lovely video. Totally agree with you. Enjoy your children now, whilst it’s fun, but know this they’ll always want their mum and dad, whatever their age. My boys are 31 & 32 now, yet they still want their mum and dad. In fact as I get older my sons worry about losing me. Life is too short for all of us, live in the moment as much as you can and always make time for yourselves and your children. ❤️

When things were at their very worst: 2 Suns, Cross in the sky, 2 comets will collide = don`t be afraid - repent, accept Lord`s Hand of Mercy. Scientists will say it was a global illusion. Beware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. "Arab uprising will spark global unrest - Italy will trigger fall out." "Many events, including ecological upheavals, wars, the schism in My Church on Earth, the dictatorships in each of your nations - bound as one, at its very core - will all take place at the same time." The Book of Truth.

Awesome job you two are doing. Memories will last a lifetime. I think our weather has switched with yours, the last two mornings here in NW Georgia its been 39 degrees. 🌬. Take time for the little and not so little ones they grow up so fast, a few years ago (it seems) I was playing with my children, now I’m playing with my great grand children. May God continue to Bless y’all (that means all y’all) 👍👍👍👍👍❤️💙💜💚💗

You had me in tears at the end taking about the lasts. I thought back to my own children who are now adults with children of their own. The last marching band competition. The last cross country meet. The last late night conversation about nothing important and of the utmost of importance. I now have grandchildren and know that there will be more lasts with them. This time I hope to be more prepared.❤️💔

So much admiration for your family, your devotion and your achievements. However the closer to this one puts it all in place and sums it all up. As someone who’s been there and aged, those precious memories you chose to stop work for will never come back. I didn’t stop because I didn’t know better. I thought I was doing what’s best for the family as a whole. True, I was and all four kids are grown and living their lives to the fullest. So proud of them. But now looking back, I should have stopped. Those moments, those memories can never be relived. Enjoy your accomplishments and rewards, but never forget to stop and enjoy the moment. Those little smiles and “boo boo’s” turn into adults way to quickly. I’m so proud of you guys and your family. May God Bless each of you always.

Your closing was the most inspiring ever...touched my heart. As a single parent my children never knew the mama I wanted to be, I was always tired grumpy and broke. Years later after my kids have raised their own. They finally understand, but it hurts me they missed out. Precious moments few but in old age and many miles apart. .. my comfort ♡
