I remember back in the 70's black powder guns could be purchased cheap (especially the kits). Now that I'm old and semi retired I've been getting into black powder pistols. I buy them used at estate sales. Because I couldn't find anyone selling real black powder I had to learn to make my own. Thanks for the helpful video.

Looks like the same fellow built the kit gun I purchased at an auction. Like you I made several improvements along with some tweaking, enjoy watching you- keep it up.

Oh yeah! Got lots of suggestions and I'd suggest willow for the charcoal in the black powder, and I'd suggest you working over the pistol wood some to make it purtier and I'd suggest........ well, never mind.

Little fellas are designed to get into dad's stuff, it's like finding treasure, when I was one I got into my dad's machinists tool box and used some feeler gauges as a whittling knife, he propmtly handed me a whooping and gave me a pocket knife.

Grandpa had one something like that back in the 1960's,,He'd have Grannie save the seeds from the grapes when making jelly and I seen Him shoot them seeds but I was likely 5yrs old. I shot my first rabbit with 16 guage at 6yrs old!! it was a Cannon then👍🏼

Morning Justin I'm still looking at possibly converting my cva to flintlock. Not sure yet ? If I'd rather have a 30 something caliber or 45?
@SpiritoftheOutdoors Жыл бұрын
If im deer hunting i want at least 45 but thats not saying a 36 wont kill a deer. I thought about trying my 36 on one but i like them 50s
@larryalexander4833 Жыл бұрын
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors yes sir tend to agree on all those statements. Especially deer hunting a muzzleloader just kills differently than a modern rifle. Need that bigger punch. I'm torn on what would use the most and what I can get . Thanks for sharing 👍
