Hello! The sliding case is stuck closed, past the lip. I took the face place out, to see about switching the foot dogs out, and now I can’t get the sliding plate to open. There must be a little screw, on the very front left, where it’s catching. Any ideas what I can do? The “screw” is very old and worn, I can barely see it.

I am trying to use my athena 2000 (just like my mom's) that I bought on eBay and finally have time to put it to use. The bobbin is only threading a little bit and very sloppy. The eccentric screw that you have does not look like mine. I think someone may have replaced it along the way and used a washer to make it work. Can I buy just this screw and try it? I was considering going to your shop but I am in Wisconsin. I wouldn't mind the day trip but the return to pick it up would be a pain. Also my stitch length is NOT working at all. Would that be an easy fix?

I cant get the plate off.. I dont know how. there is a allen screw on the left side top that is too high to allow me to remove the plate... I see the gentleman did something with a screwdriver prior to allow the plate to come off.. anyone have an idea?

If you are talking about the side plate I agree. Im working on a futura 2 model 920 and there is no clip for the plate like he had. But you dont need to remove the plate to do this.
