Thanks! The incline motor was the only component I wasn't familiar with. I have changed my motor belt, walking belt, deck board all from the help of your tutorials. Nice view of the belt guides which I was wanting to see. I've effectively overhauled my Sole F85 which is now 11 years old and used every day.

I replaced my control board using your videos, thank you. I’m watching this video because I’m having trouble with the incline and getting an E3 error. I originally reversed the up and down incline because the new control board was not the same as the old. I turned the treadmill on, and it began to go straight up to max incline, and that’s how I realized it. I switched the wires to the correct position but pulling them off. Broke a little tiny metal piece from the connector. I don’t think that this would cause the problem but perhaps it did the down incline is making a connection it’s just can be pulled on and off easily because the little broken sliver of metal, the cord appears snug and fine. Do you think I messed something up by switching the wires the first time? Or is it more than likely the connection on the incline down that is broke?

Well if you just reversed the red and black then the controller should be fine . But if you hook the red or black to the neutral it could have shorted . As far as a loose terminal you can just pinch it some with needle nose pliers. Always glad to help
@MarshaHarp-k6h11 ай бұрын
Thank you for the reply!@@FitnessTechnologyServices If it shorted, that means I would need a new board??? I did plu the up into the neutral at first because that is the ways it was on the original, didn't realize they were labeled. Also, I did email you a photo of the broken spade connector. It is missing the entire top piece, so getting two points of connection rather than three, but not sure if this makes a difference. If you wouldn't mind seeing my email, I would be super grateful. So far, yout videos are helping me trouble shoot on my own, saving a ton of money.

I bought a used F63 and the base frame was disassembled from the treadmill frame. (All I see protruding out the bottom is the silver incline tube which loosely pivots because the plastic bottom plate is cracked. I temporarily unscrewed this tube so the treadmill can sit flat on the ground. Some questions. What's the best position to put the treadmill to attach the the base frame? Do I assemble the base frame and then attach to the treadmill? Or first attach the smaller pivoting part of the base frame to the treadmill (attaching the incline tube) and then attach to the stationary base. Lastly, I need to fold up and attach the piston parts. THEN assemble as usual. Also how do I know if the silver incline tube is in the down position in it's disassembled state? Thanks so much. The video was great but it was hard to see how the lifting tube attached to the base.

Well too be honest that’s the one thing that I have never done. I would think you would have to remove the upright lift cylinder and the square looking latch assembly. Then you will somehow get the two wheels to go back into track? This won’t be easy. But as far as actually doing it I haven’t yet
@FitnessTechnologyServices Жыл бұрын
I think you would need to remove the incline completely

@@FitnessTechnologyServices Remove the incline motor? Then assemble, put motor back in,, and then fold up to attach the incline cylinder to the frame? What's the square looking latch assembly? I'm not even in the presence of this thing. It's at my Mom's. Thx.
@rgraz4929 Жыл бұрын
The incline silver cylinder is stationary (bolted to the frame) and the incline motor turns a threaded rod inside the cylinder. So my last question on my original post isn't even valid. Seems like I would attach (via 2 bolts) this part of the frame that moves with the treadmill when folded up, so it's flush to the bottom of the treadmill (declined position). Then attach (via 2 bolts) it to the stationary base. Do do any of this, I guess I would need to turn the treadmill on it's side and elevate the front.

I had set my incline to 10 on my sole s77. As I started running faster, the deck abruptly fell to the bottom position. Now I can hear the incline motor working but it doesn't incline or decline. Is the most likely culpeot the incline motor?
@FitnessTechnologyServices8 ай бұрын
Yes sir but this is also a possibility of the controller only sending the up signal. See if you can reattach the incline tube to the motor. And watch it. Use it at 6 and 2 . 3 and 4 see if it does go down at all

I removed the big bolts from top and bottom but couldn't pull out the motor off the frame. Is there tip for that?
@FitnessTechnologyServices Жыл бұрын
Hmm never experienced that maybe lay the unit on it’s side so there is less weight on incline

@@FitnessTechnologyServices Thanks for the tip. I managed to put it in place. after removed the black cover while doing it. Now if I put top volt back, the bottom bolt barely doesn't fit. vise versa. Do you have any advice for it?

thanks for the video, what is the expected lifetime of the motor, incline motor on these? how often do you replace them? thanks

It is hard to say on a incline motor I would say they are the least replaced part. Maybe 150 in 25 years
@privatejoker01001 Жыл бұрын
I was given a Sole F63. When you go to use the incline, it gets to incline 5 and the screen goes black and the belt stops. You have to lift the deck up and lock it in, unplug, put deck back down and plug in again and turn on. Incline motor will return down to flat and you can use again Would this be from a bad motor or board? Everything else works fine
@FitnessTechnologyServices Жыл бұрын
Hmm I would really go over the wire harness! Even remove the harness and temporary run it on the outside looking for issues. Before changing parts

Hi, my incline doesn't work. when I press for incline 15, I hear additional motor sound at a higher pitch than the treadmill. But, nothing is raising. when I press incline 1, I hear motor sound again. In addition, at the end, I hear metal click click click. How to fix this the issue? where is the motor's gears to do raising or lowering?
@FitnessTechnologyServices10 ай бұрын
Well the gears are in the center of the incline you’ll have to break it apart but I don’t know if you can even get the gears

First choice would be the controller. But do a walk belt test 90 % of all controllers over heat due to the walk belt. I have a video on that

My Sole TT8 2010 model belt is moving fine but giving error E2 does not incline. Upon calibration, its gives error "E2 Ramp Error". However, I have remove elevation motor and disconnect all wires and tried to see what error will come and it still giving same E2 error...what does that mean? Incline motor is faulty or lower control board is faulty or something else? Appreciate your help. Thanks.
@FitnessTechnologyServices3 жыл бұрын
Hmm this is hard to say .In general the incline itself never goes bad I have replaced it 20 times in 25 years . Normally the controller goes bad . The incline works on direct a/c . Check the controller and see if it is sending a/c to motor. It is controlled by the two black relays next to the wire inputs. I have other videos on troubleshooting controller and installing it if it helps

My incline gave the error message and I saw the light on the board wasn’t coming on when activated. I had repair come out and they told me the motor was bad. He replaced that and then went ahead and said the board was bad too just in the incline part. I was told when one goes, it’ll fry the other and vice versa. I felt like I was being scammed because that turned into an $800 repair. How common is this phenomenon?
@FitnessTechnologyServices3 жыл бұрын
Well the incline motor itself never goes bad. I have replaced it 6or 8 times in 25 years most likely this was the controller that went bad. Cost seems high if this done in the USA

@@FitnessTechnologyServices I may take you up on that. The repair place is coming tomorrow (Wednesday) to pick the part up and drop my original motor back with me. I’m nervous they did something to it to ensure it’s dead. My friend is testing it Thursday to see if it really is broken. Now after speaking with you, I doubt it. The “up and down” lights don’t illuminate on the board and this I saw before repair came out. They never addressed it during the initial visit. Im sure thats the only real issue the treadmill has. So after I can determine the motor is alive or dead, I may want to try and have that part of the board repaired or replaced
