Hey guys, got this exact set up and my CEL came on about 1 hour after install, codes P0420 and P0430...rear 02 sensor codes. Curious what yalls take is, got the 02 extenders on the way but have been talking with SPD for a few weeks and they can’t figure it out.
@RatchetWrenches4 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I actually had this happen to me with my GTI. I put a high flow downpipe on and I got the CEL for o2 sensors (p0420). I ended up buying a spacer and it still stayed on. So I ended up buying a new o2 sensor and the code went away. I even removed the spacer and sent it back. So right now I run a new o2 sensor and no code. My point is that even with your extenders you could actually have a bad sensor and it’s triggering that light even with the trick of the spacer. I suggest buying new sensors I bet it’ll do the job.

I’d suggest tuning your truck if you install these for optimum performance. You’re increasing the airflow tremendously. But I don’t see why you couldn’t run it without a tune. I’d do some research on forums and see if you can. Ik for a lot of cars/trucks it’s almost implied to get a tune after a downpipe upgrade

@RatchetWrenches4 жыл бұрын
Hmm use a lot of penetrating oil/fluid for the studs by the turbo. Everything will be more rusty than ours here, so have a torch if needed to break rust. I’ve heard story’s where rusted studs snap and then you’re going to need to drill them out. Drilling them out is time consuming plus the angle under there is hard for a drill to fit. Other than that this job is a pretty easy install. Goodluck! Comment if you have any questions

Shout to to the video and slapping it on in the drive way, worth the like and view. But for David, the one “powerhousing” the beer at the beginning of the video, taking sips every 10 seconds... to be the cool guy with a truck that someone else did work on. Then at the end of the video, which I’m assuming since he rolled it right off the ramps and revved it like a badass, was behind the wheel driving like an idiot trying to show off for the female and his boys.

@@RatchetWrenches no joke I'm in NY I would really hire you guys and bring the truck out there because pretty much what you guys did is what I wanna do, I'm in the process of buying a f-150 right now, just debating if I should wait for the 2021 or just stick with the current
@RatchetWrenches4 жыл бұрын
JDUA64 that’s not far yeah I mean we wouldn’t mind doing it for ya! We can work our a fair price, but in all honesty I’d wait until the 2021 drops. It should be relatively soon! They usually release them in September-October area

@@RatchetWrenches yea I was thinking that too I might just wait I just hope they didn't change them too much were I can't mod it as easily

JDUA64 I’m sure the platform will be the same. But I feel like the appearance and luxuries will change a lot. Thats always advancing

I have a hard time watching these guys refer to the truck as a car over and over
@RatchetWrenches4 жыл бұрын
We’re used to just saying car. Force of habit

This was a waste of money and time. The stock exhaust is more than needed for the stock turbos. Even if you turn up the boost. It’s crazy how people think because they are making more noise. They are making more hp.
@RatchetWrenches5 жыл бұрын
That’s wrong. The diameter is bigger which increases air flow which increases performance
@blackericdenice5 жыл бұрын
@@RatchetWrenches The diameter is larger but it does not increase your hp because the parts you changed. Was not restricting hp. Just like you installed that cold air intake bs. All F150 use the same air filter. From the base 290 hp n/a v6 up to the 450 hp HO Raptor. Stop reading brochure trying to increase hp. When I'm ready to increase hp. I'm just going to turn up the boost. The stock exhaust can handle more than 325 hp.
@RatchetWrenches5 жыл бұрын
That’s wrong because we have a high flow cat rather then the stock one with all the restriction that goes into for emissions. We also needed a dp and the Cold air intake to accommodate our tune we just got. Our dyno run prior to the tune read about 34hp over what stock runs one. Which means the dp and Intake improved hp. And I’m not saying the stock hp from what the factory rates it at because that’s usually off, I’m saying from a dyno run with no mods on it. All I’m saying is you can believe what you want but numbers don’t lie
@blackericdenice5 жыл бұрын
@@RatchetWrenches No you did not gain 34 hp from dp because the exhaust is not restricting hp. Tell that bs to someone else. Like I said before. Ford use the same air filter for the base 290 hp and the 450 hp Raptor.
@RatchetWrenches5 жыл бұрын
blackericdenice ok so the 34hp came from the sky. Dunno what to tell you dude. Like I said numbers don’t lie. Done talking to you.

Are the spa adaptors needed for this downpipe or can stock work ?
@RatchetWrenches3 жыл бұрын
Stock can work but I highly suggest doing them while you’re down there. Does help with performance and open up some restriction
