I just did this on my 21 GT and I’m so grateful for it. That factory spring kicks your foot out so hard and makes the pedal feel like it has two different stages. I was skeptical of a $20 spring making a difference but it’s literally night and day. I used needle nose vise-grip pliers and it was super easy to take out. Hardest part was getting in and out of car 🤣.

Okay I just did this mod. Instructions say to depress the clutch and then use needle nose vice grips to depress the spring even more and remove. Throw that right out the door. Spent 30 mins fighting with the spring in a tight place. Just depress the clutch, reach up with your hand to where the spring is connected at the top, pull down and towards you. Pops right out! Easy mode! Great mod!!
@woman.driven6 жыл бұрын
It was a hassle. The instructions for some reason are for the GT. The GT does not have a dual spring set up like the GT350. It took longer than expected. Hope you like the feel. I love mine.

I never really minded the soft pedal feel. Being that I live in Houston and there’s always traffic, it’s saved my knee. But, I did switch over to the steeda spring and I think it’s a nice compromise between no spring and factory. Plus, I call bs on people who say it takes 5 minutes to remove lol
