***UPDATE: I got sooo much better at wheelies using these tires for a few months! They will help you learn to wheelie and teach you how to swerve! Highly recommend if you plan to hit the streets and highways.

What is going on my Full Throttle Fam! I have been wanting to make this video for quite some time now. Finally I got around to installing these Shinko 705 dual sport tires on my 2018 crf450r. Huge thanks to @trav_the_sav for sending these tires to me for free, honestly don't know anybody else as motivational and that is such an important figure in the entire BikeLife scene.
These tires were NOT easy to get on but they look awesome now and after riding on these two times I can say they are a game changer when street riding or doing wheelies! I absolutely love them. I forgot to mention in the video but I still have the original stock crf450r wheels that came with my bike that have motocross tires on them, so now I have the option to quickly switch wheels for street or off-road!

nice man...one tip tho...never tighten the valve nut against the rim but rather against the valve plastic cap so if the tire slides on the rim you will not tear your valve instantly but rather see your valve sitting at an angle and it gives you an additional chance to adjust it before getting a flat far from home.

Yep, don't put the nut on and tighten against the rim, that can cause the valve stem to tear. Lost a few tubes by using the nut.

That don’t work 😂.. I’ve done both for years .. tighten the valve stem up to the rim people .. the valve stem won’t move if you have a good rim lock and the correct tire pressure

@@mikga45if your airing down for the track .. then loosen the valve stem nut a little but don’t make it lose to the point where it hits the valve stem cap .. I lost over 10 tubes doing it that way and with the rubber grommets

The warp9 supermoto wheels I got for my CR250 accept the original oem spacers that come with the cr250. If u can order oem honda parts where you live i would but those if not I’m sure a machine shop could make u some. Good luck!

i have a shinko on the front and a dunlop on the rear. 1.6x19 and 2.15x18. the fronts arent bad but the rear is an absolute fuckin nightmare. The very first time ever putting the tires on the rim i popped the tube and had to do it all over again.. went about a year before i got a flat. remembered what a nighmare it was.. popped the tube again THREE TIMES getting the tire on the rim.. and this is with me being as absolutely carewful as i possibly could be.. finally got the tire on with a new tube and rode to work the next day and on the way home from work that day i got ANOTHER FLAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. had to do it all AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!.. installed a new tube and a new tire of the exact same model. havent had a flat since and its been like 2 years.. next time i have to change a rear tire im just selling the bike. lol. several day long nightmare. destroying the rims. runing tubes with those ridiculous tire spoons... every other bike ive ever had before or after that it was NEVER this hard to change a tube. Ive been riding dirtbikes since i was a kid and ive changed a million tubes. but those street tires are a mother fucker. stiffer than shit and BARELY fit over the rim. doing it by hand is a bitch and a half. finally figured out a trick though with stiff tires that use tubes.. semi fill up your tube before mounting the second half of the tire. it will inflate slightly and pull itself away from the edge of the tire where it can get pinched in between the rim and spoon. Once i figured that out i never pinched another tube with the spoons. (knock on wood)..

You can get front and rear Shinko 705 tires those will fit directly on your wheels from that bike. No need to buy new rims. Merry Christmas man hope it all works out!

It is the rim lock! It holds the tire to the rim and keeps it from slipping 👍🏼 we use them on all dirtbikes

I have to say these skinny tires are way more fun for just ripping around on the streets some and wheelies are so much easier than the sumo setup. I definitely recommend giving them a try and saving the money! They WILL NOT perform like sumo tires on the corners though you know that. Good luck man.
