Thank you for watching, I do this with the hopes of helping someone.. so seeing comments like these motivates me to keep doing this.. And yea I wanted to allow people to see the struggles that come with even a basic install like this.. i have installed more complex systems remote car starts alarms full systems so on and so fourth and it just shows that a person with even as much knowledge as I have will have a moment even down to loosing your keys 🤣! Hi, Thanks so much for taking your time to not only make this video but you made it in real time and did such a great job explaining it all. I have a 2015 durango with the uconnect 8.4 and I want to do this to mine as well. It looks fairly straight forward, (now that you explained it all, lol.) I am wondering if you needed to purchase anything other than the radio for the install? Cable interfaces, cables??? It looks like it was almost plug and play. Also, can you direct me to the specific android radio you installed here? I know it worked for you so it seems like a smart move to purchase the same radio. Thanks in advance for your help.

Its 100% Plug and play, before you purchase this item they will ask you to send them a picture of your dashboard and steering wheel so that they can send you the necessary canbus that retains all the features of your particular vehicle comes with the radio no need to purchase anything else just the radio I will send you the necessary links for purchase in a second.. Yo they sent me a new update and it didn't work until I unplugged the the power from the unit. Just started to work today. They sent me another link on cutting wires but I'm glad I didn't do it...because it works now. Thank you for everything

please help me. How did you get the bottom physical buttons to turn on? The unit I got does not hold memory and on the physical buttons the ECO OFF button is always lit up and the rest do not turn on. The rear DVD does not work either.

@@abusyguy1757 the bottom plug on the unit, make sure that plug is firmly pushed in. On my unit it didn't snap in so I use electrical tape to make sure connection is snug

Hey King David, It looks like the factory GPS cable would fit on the back of the radio. Is this the case? I emailed Phoenix and they told me I have to use their GPS antenna. How did you hook up yours?

I connected my blue fakra antenna cable from the vehicle to the same place the aftermarket antenna cable would go on the back of the radio.. to be honest it rally wouldn't matter which one you install it isn't like you get any additional features by using the factory.... I just decided to use the factory because why not but I did try both ways and the signal was Identical...

Yes.. I was using my phones hotspot, but I ended up getting a syncup and drive hotspot made by tmobile plugs into your cars obd port.. Not only does it provide wifi it keeps track of your cars health shows you were your car is you can create virtual boundaries and much more.. I may do a video on it as well

Ok what year is you car? If you do not have those features tied to those buttons then they will not work. When you start the radio and the eco button is illuminated then that means that eco is on.. if you press the button and the illumination goes away then that means eco is off and your transmission is not being restricted to save gas and that also means that the buttons are functions properly.. if you do have those functions in your car then I would reset the unit.. get a small pen and on the left side of the radio towards the bottom theres a small hole and next to it shows reset, stick the pin in there and hold it for about 15 seconds.. as far as the rear monitor not working you have to provide more information as to what connections you made.. all I can say at this point is to make sure that all of the connections you made are plugged in to the right ports.. i can help you better with more info..

@@DRSKINGDAVID hey brother I appreciate you. I have a 2015 Citadel V8. My buttons do not light up but the ECO OFF light is lit up and does not turn off. It also does not hold memory like the date and time and the equalizer settings.

@@abusyguy1757 Did you reset the radio? It sounds like you may have either a bad canbus box and may need to contact the seller for this one... I would try to reset the radio 1st with the 1st method of holding in the reset button for 15 seconds, if that doesn't work try the second one unplugging the power harness from the radio and the harness that control the bottom buttons eco excetera and leave it unplugged for about 10 minutes before you plug it back in... try this if this does not remedy the situation, contact the seller and let them know whats going on because in my experience if those are not fixed with a simple reset the canbus box is bad or you need a firmware update in which they should be able to provide.. Keep me posted on whether either reset method worked..

I haven't ran into that issue, but what do you mean by it just reset? and you said it dosent show your ac or heat? Are you talking about the controls for the ac and heat? Thats what I mean by not recommending it at this point.. there's waaaay to many bugs for how much they cost and the sellers are terrible with solutions... try to do a hard reset and see if that works if not you may have to request a firmware from the seller...

@@DRSKINGDAVID the wifi wasnt connecting so i reset it and when it reboot it came back on but the bluetooth was at bottom where the ac/heat usually is. I wish i could send u a pic of what it looks like.

King. I got it installed today and have two issues. Wondering if you have the same. ECO mode is stuck off and no sound while reversing.

No. mine works fine, when you hit the eco button that says eco off the light doesn't come on? And when your going in reverse the camera settings may be set to 0 while reversing.. which lowers the sound or in your case completely mutes it

@@mikec7316 I beleive its in install set password is 666888 go through all the settings I'm at work right now so I can't go out to the car and look right now, but go through the settings until you see reversing volume i beleive its called... let me know i will contact u again once I have verified it for sure though.. but let me know if you found it... go to settings on the left side scroll down until you see install sett enter password 666888.. also look in console settings as well.

@@mikec7316 good luck with that there customer service is really poor.. i purchased mine from professional car audio on ali express, there all the same radios its just support is night and day between the two.. i will get back with you when I get a chance to go into the settings
