I love my Grizzly Cubic Mini stove! Its fun to roast hot dogs or make smores in it on a brisk fall day up camping and it keeps the bus warm. So no granite on either side of the stove?

Was wondering if you noticed that the sides of your cabinets are exposed to heat when you light the stove ,any concern of burning the sides of the cabinets?

There is a decent amount of room around it. We will be keeping an eye on it though. If it gets too hot we will add more protection around it.

I want to order a grizzly but I am frazzled about getting all of the piping and flu accessory sizes correct. How can you tell if you're choosing a spot that has no wires or anything in the ceiling? So many things make me nervous about it, but I really want one since it was -25 last winter here and propane got pretty pricey. Any advice?

Actually not. The rear bracket is built to suspend it in the air if you want.

I'm surprised there was no heat shield installed on the sides of the stove either metal or granite to protect the wood. Won't the exposed wood being heated cause warping? I'm just making assumptions. I have never used an RV wood stove.

No. First of all it won’t be that hot down there. Second silicone has a high heat tolerance hence things like silicone hot mitts.

How do you guys insure your bus with a wood burner? Do you just not mention it to the insurance company? I’m 100% positive that no insurance company is doing it (as of this post). So please share the secret with the rest of your bus fam!😀

I find that insuring is a state by state issue with people. We are insured in Florida and it was easy. We also don’t have full coverage. We generally just get liability.
