I thought it was great that the trenails acted as a "fuse" protecting the actual fashion pieces. Effectively, it seems to me they absorbed enough of the kinetic energy on arrival at the scene of the crash (in breaking as they did) that the important surrounding pieces could handle what was left. If they had been stronger, (metal dowels, say) they might have transferred enough energy into the fashion pieces to split them.

@23coburn5 жыл бұрын
The piano after Poncho is lovely and compelling, thank you Madam Tally Ho can be described all kind of ways, of course. by "shining light" I could have also called her a Song. A long, song to be sure, but the Haiku version no doubt will be when you're sailing her. At this stage of completion one can imagine her lift over the first wave beneath her keel after so many years. She creaks and mutters a bit as she adjusts her great pile of living-parts, then rises gamely to meet the next one. Okay, enough of this malarky, I'm veering dangerously close to the anthropocentric. Thanks Shipwright!

I have worked with my hands all my life and have always enjoyed doing it. I always felt a great deal of accomplishment and pride when a project is done and see what my efforts have produced. And all the those things combined in my life would not add up to the accomplishment this project of yours is. And I have built large homes with the help of my son and two other men. I am proud of the things I have built over my many years and am still doing at 76 but I honestly feel it all pales in comparison to this wonderful project of yours.
