EPISODE 102
In this episode we move Tally Ho!
Before the move we experience a crazy heatwave with record-breaking temperatures, and I have to take some drastic measures to keep the boat cool. Next we take the boatshed down, revealing the lines of the boat without any visual obstructions.
I also finally introduce the owners of the property where Tally Ho and I have been living for the past 4 years, Raul and Darlene. They tell a little part of their story and we all get a bit emotional.
Finally, Associated Boat Transport arrive with their amazing hydraulic trailer, they load up the boat, and thanks to some incredible driving we manage to squeeze her through the tiny gap between the house and the trees, with no room to spare! I have a hair-raising trip to Port Townsend watching my boat speed down the highway ahead of me, and finally we arrive safely in the new location.
Huge thanks to Associated Boat Transport for being so amazingly professional and efficient and taking such good care of Tally Ho!

I fell in love with them both, their kindness and love for you. At 71, I have seen some pretty bumpy road in life with people & employees and had lost my admiration for the human race to some extent but having witnessed all that I have in these past years with your hosts and the numerous volunteers that have come and gone...I now have higher expectations for the human race, they just might make it after all...because of people like these. Charles, I could not have said it better. I'm 69 and went through quite hard times in my life, often caused by selfish, ambitious POS. The last ones almost killed me by overworking me - after a 33 happy years career in publishing and advertising management. The last 3 years were awful. Promises they broke when they recruited me from my previous employer. If not for my marvelous friend and doctor, I would have killed myself, in dark, profound despair 15 years ago. My latest hit was on June 10 202, yeah a month ago, when my wife and best friend for 50 years this August, killed herself in our pool. Tough times again. As for you, looking on these good people brought my first smiles and good emotions in a month. Leo, his friends, Raoul and Darlene are such sweet, decent humans, they all brought me tears of happiness. Hats off to Tally Ho. I love you all. ❤️

Yes that's exactly what it is. As a teenager I used to do a lot of hitchhiking and sometimes I would have a long wait for a lift and sometimes a short wait. The psychology of the hitchhiker is interesting. All the cars that drive by are, to a large extent, driven by people you don't want to meet. Without exception in my case, all the people that pick you up are people you do want to meet. So the car driver thinks they have selected to pick up the hitchhiker, but actually it's the other way around, the hitchhiker is selecting the nice people from the flow of cars.

Having quite followed Leo's journey, and having gone on record as urging Leo's draft to be included as an American shipwright with American timber and family...I am a witness to many remarkable elements of craftmanship. But along that journey, the love a brute bird, to a shared kinship to life, such a love for not a master, but the hand of gentle caress...well, in one glance, I was made to understand the home place of Paco. A creature with a beak that can break walnuts and such in one fell bite....so reaching to a hand that only demonstrates affection...kindness. a life spirit to life spirit that is simple, uncompromised and of strength. A place, I suggest we all need and require. So while a timber boat moves to fitting out, I am left wondering...."What am I reaching for"..."what goal set do I have that is fundamental and good"...and the view to my future..and remnant of past...is larger than before. I so like the lessons simply offered to wonder about and just a bit, a fragment of the soul measured to the sea and lands end. M.

Hello Leo, I have just spent the last 4 or 5 days binge watching all 102 episodes of your incredible journey. When I saw you all alone at the beginning manhandling vast quantities of old rotten timber, I could never have believed you would ever complete the enormous project that you took on. However with your incredible determination, skill and presentation techniques you have managed to build a team of dedicated people to help you achieve your goal. I raise my hat to you for achieving what you have to date and have no doubt that in "two years" we will see Tally Ho flying along under full sail. Thank you so much for providing us with such a wonderful documentary and I am not sure, that having binge watched all these videos in such a short time that I will have the patience to wait two weeks for each episode!! Bravo to you all.
