Easy to follow guide and has continued the life of my Bose v1 SoundDock. I originally purchased SoundDock in 2005 to play music from an iPod and have previously upgraded to enable iPhone charging. I would recommend to all, just follow the video, it's that simple. Very happy customer.

Your instruction was spot on, and yes the little pins that need to be trimmed is the hardest part or more correct the item you need to be meticulous with. Once trimmed the board fit easily. Great instruction and I am grateful to you and all who help provide this upgrade. Shipping was straight forward and came to California in the time I expected...Expectations Met!

hello Magic Smoke, I have a sounddock 1a without sound, I think the sound module is not working. To bring it back to life do I just need that BC20 card or do I also need to repair the sound module to make it work?

Jose, the series 1 shows no sign of life when you power it up so it is very difficult to tell if the Digital Sound Processor module (DSP) is working. i.e. If you have a bad docking connector then it could just be the dock connector that is causing no sound and the DSP module is fine. Obviously you need to check that you have all three power rails from the power supply (+18V / 0V / -18V). Invebo paid me to patch the self-destruct firmware and to specify the hardware reliability modifications to protect the DSP chip. I cannot release the details. If you purchase the BC20 and have you can send the DSP to me and I will fix it.

No but you could run it easily from 2 Dewalt batteries.

Hello! I have a Sounddock series 1, but after playing music for a while like 5 minutes suddenly stop playing music likd if it stopped recognizing the device I cleaned the 30 pins connector but it still with the same problem, what could it be, regards!!

Hello. First try a different iPod. If the sound stops suddenly it is usually associated with a damaged ipod connector. If you want to contact support at [e-mail] they will help you diagnose. There is also and automated diagnostic wizard on the site that will enable you to find out what is wrong.

Hello, the BC25HD has superseded the BC20. The BC25HD has support for the latest high definition codecs. (much better audio quality). You can buy at www.invebo.com
