Great Video... Very Informative Content... I'm 6'5 And It's A Wonderful Thing For Us Taller Riders To Be Comfortable On Our Hoggs... It Also Keeps Us Safer On The Road. What Happens When Your Arms And Legs Are Long As Route 66 And We Have To Quickly Downshift Or Make A Sudden Stop Or Swerve To Dodge A Dangerous Object In The Road .... Proper Handlebars, Seat And Extended Controls Will Minimize Potential Accidents... Thanks Again For The Content And Info Big Fella... God Bless🙏🏾 Note: I hate having to pull my leg back, up and around the rear brake in order to use it. I hate maneuvering at slow speeds with stock handlebars positioned in my lap etc. But like you illustrated and explained... Us taller riders could be fine with the proper modifications and adjustments.

Greetings from the UK. Very helpful and interesting video as is your Tallboys Cycles brackets installation video. I'm 6' 5" 210lbs with an '03 Road King. Anything over 60-70 miles and I'm starting to get sore. I have the Kuryakyn gear shift 1026 and floorboard spacers but the brake extension 1027 is on a 3 month back order so I'm waiting for that to arrive before I fit the others. I went ahead and ordered a Le Pera Maverick daddy long legs seat which I think will also help (it darn well better had - it costs a fortune!). Tempted by the Tallboys Cycles brackets but will see how I go with the Ku'kyn bits to start off with. I get that (like me) you're not a knee-down guy but do you find you scrape the floorboards with the Tallboys brackets on? Thanks again for the vids.

The extended brake lever will give you more foot space for sure and make getting your foot on the brake easier. I had the Kuryakyn floorboard brackets and then sold them for the TBC brackets. I wonder what it would feel like if you used both? Either way, I love the TBC brackets. For tall people it’s a must. The Kuryakyn brackets shifts the floorboards forward slightly and out slightly (it helps) but the TBC brackets show fits the floorboards down and forward 2” roughly and out 1/2”. I take corners more cautiously but I still lean my bike a good bit and don’t scrape. Only a couple times if I lean too much on a road that slopes in a weird way have I scraped a little bit never affected my driving. I have a buddy with standard brackets who drives more aggressive and scrapes his boards almost all the time as he lives to lean aggressively. If you drive normal, and not race leaning lol you will be fine.

@@DieselLegiance Many thanks, Matt. Think I'll end up with the TBCs at some point... Best wishes from the south coast of UK.

Where did you get the spacers ?

What spacer are you referring to? The chrome spacer at the shift lever that I used when removing the heal shifter? amzn.to/3zvhSdX

There is also an extended ISO toe shifter. The factory little rubber boot on shift linkage is tiny. There is also extended ISO brake pad. I have that, hoping it fits with new brake extension that’s on the way. Reason being is I have lower fairings.
