Installing the Kuryakyn ISO grips on a Spyder RT

This was a HUGE help. I have a 2018 Gold Wing. I wanted a thicker grip and have used the ISO grips on almost every bike I have owned. I watched your video and saw the idea of cutting the rubber down the middle. A new razor blade made short work of cutting the rubber insert. It was really a piece of cake. I used the zip ties to hold things together, but again I used your idea of channel locks to "squeeze" the shell together. I bought the throttle rocker, and bar end weights. Lining up all that was a bit of a challenge but your video made this SO MUCH EASIER. THANK YOU

Just installed my blacked out Kury's via your cut of the rubber pads and I used 1" PVC piped and was a piece of cake. Thanks for the hint!

I used a piece of 3/4 inch pbc ( thats all I had available) the 1 inch will be perfect, I cut it about I inch long an use it at the end of the grip, and it works like a charm! also applied a small amount of soap on the existing grip and it help with the clamping! this grios don't get as warm as the stock ones!

Using a dremel tool with a drum sander works slick...

Cutting the rubber works great, but I had trouble snapping the pieces together with channel locks. One cracked and the other just completely broke.

Mine snapped too on a ring. I'm trying to get it replaced. I think beveling the middle part of the grip is needed. But be careful to only do a little bit.

I have a 2016 spyder RT S. On the throttle side when you took the end cap off, what did you use to keep the spring and bushing in place?

Don't remember the part number but these are the same ones people use on the Gold Wing motorcycle.
