I have been dying to find a older 2 stroke 250 probably from 01 to 07 to rebuild from the ground up but 1 I have no time and you’ll probably take me 5 years to get it done and 2 I have never done a bike build and I’m not the best with motor work. But I guess you have to start somewhere to learn

For 50 years I've been riding in the Rockies of Wyoming and rocks grow everywhere. I ride the pegs so tight to the bike to protect my feet that guys laugh and tell me I can squeeze a 250 down to a 125 in one ride. The only thing that bothers me about this conversion is the extra room it takes from my feet. The damn thing looks like a wart on the side of the bike. The EZ clutch would be more important to me than the starter. Good video, tho.

very impressive job I did a yz250 build with a panthers starter and I tried to add the hydraulic clutch but I saw that you had an extra ring did you put that on ? and it still didn't fit ?

The hydraulic clutch gets bound and doesn't work properly even with the additional spacer. It will technically work, but I think it would break relatively quickly and with the binding the pull is harder than even with a cable clutch. Wouldn't recommend trying the two together.

Nope I didn't; it seems like it's snug in there as-is. I'd like to test it offroad to make sure it doesn't bounce around or anything like that.
