After Christmas I bought a new blade and I bought it off of Amazon and it was a 3/4 inch made by Timberwolve and I didn't know until I watched your video on blades that my 14 inch bandsaw shouldn't handle that size of a blade to begin with. After putting it on i noticed the blade had a flat spot and it made a scary noise when it was running. I don't remember when it was that a blade broke as i was using it. All i can say is glad there are covers around the wheels. I stated in another one of your videos that I ordered a Carter 3/8 blade and can't wait to try it.

Do you have a video on installing a carter stabilizer on a rikon 10-324 ir siniliar bandsaw? Thanks!

I have the rikon 324tg. Not sure if the 326 is the exact same but it might be worth mentioning to have the blade guard locked into place when adjusting the bearings. On my 324 the blade guard has just a tiny bit of play in it when its not locked in place which can cause my bearing adjustments to be off slightly.

Hi Alex! I've been using your setup for blades for a couple of years now. I am having trouble getting an extra wide resaw blade to work properly with these steps though. Any suggestions?

With wider resale blades, you can only set them back so that the back edge is even with the back edge of the wheel. You’re better off using a 5/8 inch greenwood by Carter Products or even a 3/8 inch greenwood by Carter Products to achieve what you’re looking for.

I’m interested. What makes this better than stock?

Stock is spring loaded single bearing side guides. These are Allen wrench so they stay put, high Rpm smooth bearings in a more compact setup. You won’t ever regret buying a Carter Products guide.

Each time that I changed out a blade I never remembered to put the gullet of the blade in the center like it was before. Must be a brain fart. So i look at an older video from years ago of you doing so. I use my bandsaw but not like I use to. I'm on my second Jet saw, my first one i sold when we moved from Illinois to Florida and reason being i didn't have a place to put it. So after awhile my wife bought me a new one and it's made different as to where the motor is located. I like to call you Mr. Bandsaw.
