Thanks for the video. Just did mine on my bx1880. The outer tie rod castle nuts are M10x1.25 in case anyone cross-threads theirs like I did. Uses a 17mm wrench.

From the pictures I've seen online these look like automotive universal boots just adapted to another purpose with the plastic or nylon washer and C or E clip like Lowes sales. The nylon washer just tightens up the fit so the clip will stay tight and not just spin. I'm going to look into this further and if I'm right it may be cheaper to buy the parts at like Advance Auto and Lowes or where ever has parts like that. Fine job you done. Seen I have one torn today 110 hours 2016 model not used much but already torn. Just got the tractor last year from a dealer trade and it was low hours but like new BX 1870 no loader really didn't need that but did want the 3 point and 4 X 4 part. Have a Blessed Day !

Yes the 3pt makes all the difference over a normal yard tractor. could always get a 3pt scoop for yours too should you need to move materials around. Best of luck on rounding up the parts! Thanks for watching!

That’s my dads company “Botaproducts“ he’s so dedicated to the BX line and I’m so glad to see other ppl enjoying the benefits of his kits! Great vid btw to show those out there they can do it themselves and save money!

Nice job, MF don't have replacement boot for the GC you have to replace all the tie rod.

Thanks Teddy! Wow that's surprising. Changes a inexpensive fix to a another level! Good to hear from ya!

What torque did you tighten everything down to? It's not so much putting new grease in but packing it in too. 🤔🤔🤔
@Tyler_Koehn5 жыл бұрын
I just snugged everything up. I figure the more grease in the boot the less room for water to displace air in the seal.

The dealer wanted to replace the whole tie rod for over 200 bucks. Just got mine for 13 bucks. Be smart out there.

Why didn't you put back the rings?
@Tyler_Koehn4 жыл бұрын
They are no longer used with these.

What sealed the inside edge of the boot? I did not see you replace a ring on the inside edge of the boot. What's holding that end of boot on? Thanks. @Tyler_Koehn
