Andrew your KZbin subscribers are located in many geographical locations and may not understand the pressure you and many undergo during Hurricane Season. IMHO, you have determined that your house build is priority based on serious weather threats that destroys many homes during hurricane season. I think most understand and appreciate that you prioritized securing your house vs. many other video choices. Great video of Tiffany and you working as a team.

The knurled round nut thing on the back of the hammer slides in or out, to set the tab reveal length for installing asphalt shingles. You hold the hammer flat on the previously laid shingle with that knurled nut touching the bottom edge of that shingle, then you slide the next shingle down from above until the shingle contacts the head of the hammer... that sets the reveal to be the same for every shingle.

Me and my wife about to become team workers with this hurricane about to hit New Orleans again. I think we got to leave tomorrow to drive my wife down to New Orleans. I just hope and pray I don't hurt my foot on this trip. You need to take yourself a break buddy and Go Fishing while I try to catch up on the video. Great job Tiffany and huge progress on the house. I've been tied up on projects out here so i haven't been able to catch up so i am watching all the past vids now. You can actually install your window flashing and install the windows if you like. Nothing really stopping you from doing that. Just make sure the windows that are weather facing are sealed good on the exterior. You can check with the code but you should also be able to spray window foam sealant around the windows after installation which is something the spray foam company will recommend you do. I would still consider an "oh sh*t /tornado/hurricane room" something like your closet if its going to be the typical walk in semi large room. You can build exactly what you did outside or trim it down just a tad. The master closet as a storm room has saved a few people over here. The entire house was wiped off the foundation except the master closet which is where they hid so it's just something to consider since you are in construction. You could also trim down like they did and have 2x6 every 12in with double 3/4 plywood on inside and outside. It might be more costly than the one you built but at least we know the one you built outside is approved by FEMA so just something to think about

I’m sure that’s a big relief to have the house wrap finished.

Nice to hear that my deceased uncle (yes I had an uncle named Fred) decided to leave you alone. I woke up this morning and checked the weather, and the forecast was SAUNA. I hope that you are enjoying some relaxing time with a rod & real in one hand and a beer in the other, you need it.

I did a lot of work today and it was 109 on the heat index. Needless to say we got in the kiddie pool this afternoon 😂

@@TKCL By the way all your penetrations you want to make before you hang the siding. Use a flex flashing or a liquid flashing to seal around those pipes and wires. I hope those videos I sent you were helpfull.

I can't imagine the stress level of putting up Tyvek during wind and rain. Although, the only thing worse would be full Florida summer sun beating down the whole time. So maybe you were a little lucky to catch a few sprinklings and breezes. You must sleep like a corpse. 😜
