Installing water and sewer lines in these new construction homes. On the water lines they run pex pipe and sleeve it in 1.5" sch 40 pvc pipe to protect of the rock in the yard. We also end up setting the new water meter pits and one of the water meters. One sewer line by the shed was dug to a riser that was there, the other had to be dug to the main in the alley. It was 8' deep but there was a tee to tie too. The sewer lines are padded with rock then backfilled! There will be a final video of these properties installing the yards, but with rain it has been to wet to complete. Thanks for watching! Be sure to comment, like and subscribe! #EliteEarthworks

When you dig it with the excavator how do you know how deep to dig to make sure you get the drop for the sewer pipe correct or are you just digging all same depth and adjusting the pipe from the clean out by the house to the connection at main

When you trench a line for a sewer do you slope the trench for drainage drop or does the plumber backfill where they need to to get the correct drop on the sewer line?

@psidvicious
@psidvicious 5 жыл бұрын
Is it just visibility into the trench that determines whether you dig with the blade in the front or the back? I noticed in this vid, you dug both ways, ~7:30 and ~9:00. I always thought it was more stable with it in the front. 👍
@eliteearthworksllc
@eliteearthworksllc 5 жыл бұрын
psidvicious it is more stable with it in front. I I usually try to always dig that way. I think the only reason it was behind me was because I was already lined up that way, so I just went with it. Has a lot more bounce to it that way. Thanks again for commenting and watching

@eliteearthworksllc
@eliteearthworksllc 5 жыл бұрын
Tyler Pittmon it’s regular limestone, the first load had fines or lime dust in it. The one I pushed in the alley is what we call clean rock here. It does not have the fines in it lets the water run through it. But it also locks in and does not settle. Thanks again for watching and commenting
@tylerpittmon7936

Tyler Pittmon I’m not if they want us to on the sewer lines but I know on driveways and sidewalks they are using crush concrete. It makes perfect sense to reuse it, you can’t do anything else with the old concrete! And yes definitely cheaper

David knows thank you! I just add the music on the time lapse since without it there would be no sound. I may tone the video down a hair on the music that’s been my biggest complaint on my videos 🤷🏼‍♂️ Thanks again for watching and commenting

I think that you are on the right track there. The music should be secondary to what you are doing in the video, background. I enjoy watching how you deal the various problems that arise in your work.
