Installing Windows in the My Cabin, Gable Cladding, Making wooden Soffit, Ep.12

This is the last episode on finishing the outside of the house. And now, I can feel at home. I'm glad I was able to finish the exterior in time for the start of winter. All that remains is to make the door, and the interior will be warm and cozy. After installing the windows, I began finishing the front and back gables. Also, on the second floor, where I plan to make a small bedroom, I decided to make a small window that will add more light and comfort to my room. In the near future I will begin to insulate the entire hut, but first I want to make the floor for the second floor and the front door. Once work on the second floor is complete, I will begin building the wall for my sauna, shower room and a small kitchen. There is not much space in the cabin, but for me this space is enough to divide the cabin into three rooms.
I Also want to share very good news with you. I decided to get a dog! Finally another little dream of mine has come true. Soon my dog will appear in my videos. This is an important step for me in my life because I understand that it is a responsibility, but I am completely ready for it.
Now October is coming to an end, winter is getting closer, which means it’s time for me to think about installing a metal stove. I decided that I would not buy a ready-made metal stove in a store, but would make it myself. Stove prices are now very high, and the metal this stove is made of is too thin, so it will last much less than a do-it-yourself stove made from rough metal. That's all I wanted to share with you. Those windows will be great as miniature greenhouses for starting seedlings before planting them! Also herbs as potted plants because they smell nice. Also plant some Lavender because it is a natural insect repellant and will reduce the number of mosquitoes while providing food for bees.

Bjorn, you craft your videos as beautifully as you craft your cabin. The intermingled scenes of nature that surrounds you adds so much to give us appreciation for the forest surrounding you. The cabin is awesome, so natural and fitting into the area, belonging there. I do not know where you learned your carpentry skills but you had a fantastic teacher and you were a very worthy student. I can understand why you will enjoy spending time there in the future, it already has a certain homey feeling to it. With winter approaching I am wondering how you will heat this for those cold winter days and nights? Considering your wide range of skills I could imagine you building an outdoor furnace that pumps hot water thru the cabin, keeping all the mess outside and not taking up room inside. I feel confident you have an awesome plan for that as well. My very best wishes for you and may you stay strong and healthy for many many years to enjoy all you create.

My grandfather was a fishing boat builder / winter and a cod fisher the summer. He also used to do a lot of these types of windows. Some of the windows he made have 100 years. Look similar to what you installed. No synthetic compound anywhere. You did a great young man, I hope you the best.
