I have these on my 1250 GS and I had them on 2 previous bikes (GS and GSA). You can rotate the bars down quite a lot further towards you if they are not quite right yet. Best to set the angle with the bike off the centre stand and use the rear view of the mirrors and the levers as your guide. I am always amazed that some GS riders don't fit these! I am also amazed that BMW do not make the bars fully adjustable from factory!

When BMW went with two Hayes and not Brembo calipers in the front on all of their 1250 GS line, it shows they are cutting corners and disregarding quality and safety as they are not recalling most Hayes calipers for leaking brake fluid, good job BMW! "Make Life a Ride" and not Ride Away from Life - LOL

The Russell Seat moved you up so you would need to raise the bars UP not back. The Wunderlich Riser would be good for a rider with short arms. I don't think that was your complaint. Rox Risers are fully adjustable forward and aft plus give you a 2" rise which will help you when standing on the pegs. The Wunderlich Riser only looks like a 1/2" rise.

I love these - did mine last week. Such a better feel for me. I also added the SW-MT mirror extensions which now make my stock mirrors actually usable. Thanks Bruce!

Oh I'll have to look at these mirror extenders. :)

Bar risers are one of the best upgrades on this bike after a better seat for riding comfort. I also have a pair that brings the handle bar both up and back... You gonna love them.. :)

Cool video, dude. Like that you took the extra time to setup the multiple cameras and the montage music was a nice touch. Good vid, keep up the good work.

Good call on the upgrade. For the price they are one of the better ones you can do! When you move back to the States, if you are anywhere near Portland Oregon, give me a holler, we can go for a ride.

My hometown is on the east coast but doesn't mean I wouldn't be up for a ride out your way. I was there last summer for a wedding. Nice area, went to Haystack Rock and some other areas out that way. Good times. There were some bad fires though and my trip to Crater Lake was detoured and foggy. Take care and have a great one!!!

Great video again, thanks. I was hoping you'd have included a ride out at the end with comments. Please let us know next time, I'm considering something similar.

Nice review. Do you think adding a drop or two of Loctite threadlocker would be a good idea aswell? Like a belt and braces approach to tightening them bolts. I too don’t have a torque wrench, so I’d just do it by hand as tight as I felt comfortable.

Hi Bruce ! After some time you had installed the risers, what is your impression of driving with these risers? By the way, please share the source and model of your seats, those looks great and comfortable !! Regards Ulises
@mycirus4 жыл бұрын
I have a video on the seats. They are Russell Day Long with Heater and they are amazing. The bar risers are nice and feel natural. I really don't notice them and I feel in the right position.

Bruce T Thanks for the feedback. I’ll check the seats video! 👍🏼

All ok but you should be using a torque wrench ... you don’t want over tight or leave them loose!!
@mycirus5 жыл бұрын
With my luck id set it to foot pounds instead of inch pounds and break something. I did find that the bottom right one was loose from delivery. Seems BMW didn't torque them either.
@MrGiannibuttarazzi5 жыл бұрын
Bruce T hey T !! That’s the main reason to use a torque wrench you are pretty much confirmed what I said always use proper tool and always check the bike even if comes from the dealer ! I work in the motor trade and know very well all the in and outs !

Looks great! Have you consider to do a review of the riding suite that you are using and the helmet?
@mycirus5 жыл бұрын
I could in the future. I'm still behind on what I want to do. With only 2 days off a week it's hard to get it all in. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sorry for so many questions but could you please let me know if you can fit a helmet in your top box? Thanks!
@rogerpenn2265 жыл бұрын
It depends on the shape and size of the helmet. I put my XL Schuberth C3 Pro.
@mycirus5 жыл бұрын
I can get mine in there too. Its tight but it fits.

Where did you order the seats from? Also, I heard bar risers make them harder to push the bike around, was that the case with your setup?
@mycirus4 жыл бұрын
Russell Day Long in California. I don't have any problem moving the bike with the bar risers.
@ironhorsegladiator50344 жыл бұрын
@@mycirus You made the right decision to have not ordered the risers from ROX Speed FX Bar Risers as they are just sit way too high and they easily pivot, I don't have any issues with the ROX risers on my KTM500EXC but will never install them on a BMW GS1250. I ONLY install German Made parts on my GS1250, you pay more but they are worth it. I mean, anyone that can afford a GS can afford high quality parts. Good video Bruce. Thanks

What editing software do you use? Also, another great video my man!! Much love from Jersey❤️❤️

I use Magix software. When I didn't update I had problems with it but after I updated it was good again. I think they do that on purpose.

Bruce T same with apple, in France there was a big lawsuit because they made older generations of iPhone slower to push people to upgrade, all about the $$ and not the customer
